Generation Me's TNA Status, Update on Rumored ECW Angle

F4WOnline.com is reporting that Generation Me's TNA contracts have expired. They will, however, continue to work for the company on a pay-per-appearance basis.

For awhile now, we have been reporting that TNA has been considering some type of ECW "Invasion" type angle involving Tommy Dreamer, Raven, Stevie Richards, and possibly other former ECW names. The Wrestling Observer is reporting that the idea is still very much being talked about in TNA, but creative doesn't know yet how they want to structure the angle..

Several ideas are being discussed, with one idea actually seeing an ECW-like show debut separately on SpikeTV. It's being said that it would be in TNA's interest to run more original programming on Spike as they can then charge the network more money to produce the shows and possibly increase income.

The ECW discussion are said to be coming at a time when TNA officials are growing weary of Hulk Hogan's influence on the company as many feel he has not contributed much, and Eric Bischoff is only serving as a sold on-air character.

I unaffectionately call Generation Me "Generation Meh" because that's what they are.

I agree. Aside from the flashy moves, they are boring, ugly, bland, and have ugly pants and hair and faces.

Well also, that X-Division style is so generic now. Every match, it's the same dudes, doing the same moves, with the same characterless motions. It's like the only one who stands out is the ones that can't keep up with everyone else.

I'd sit and watch Shelly, kaz, Sabin, Lethal, Young Bucks wrestle then ROb terry, Matt Morgan or Abyss (who i also think is awesome) wrestle........just sayin

Ok. So, like what are the characters of the X-Division? Being pissy because they give TV time because they can't wrestle like TV performers?

MCMG has been in the dog house because they refused to do one blade job.

and the way i see it, the MCMG has been what....Nr. 1 contenders for the Tag Team Championship how much times in a row now??

So they can't wrestle like TV performers yet everyTag Team contenders matches that has been featured on Impact or the PPV....THe MCMG has come out victorious.......oddd huh

Yeah they won't make them champions......yet they always seem to be the top contenders and the on only team who help those champions get over, because they remain the most established tag team on the entire roster

Or it could be that Sabin and Shelley are spot monkeys. There's no reason to be emotionally invested in them outside of thinking "they are cute". As gay as it is to say "emotionally invested", look at back all the guys where were stars in the the business.. How many people without character are still remembered?

Maybe just Bret Hart because the WWE is shoving the his cripple ass and his brothers' overrated offspring down our throats.

Like i said, like at the last PPV, MCMG was in a contenders match and won, the next PPV they in a title match....spot monkey's or not, Shelly and Sabin are two of the best talented guys TNA has, Alex Shelly can cut one hell of a promo, while Sabin could be more then a "Spot Monkey" . So say what you want, TNA knows how usefull both Sabin & Shelly are, if not they would have given them their release after they asked to be released.

I dont think all of MCMG's matches are spotfests. They are both very good. i remember seeing numerous matches of Chris Sabin's solo. Although i never cared for him personally, i will say he is talented. Same for Alex Shelley.

I like the X-division. And I dont have a short attention span. i sat through Angle vs Benoit 30 minute Ultimate Submission match on the edge of my seat loving every second of it. X-division is just a different style that I also enjoy. dont need a short attention span to enjoy it.
