WWE Group Nexus Not Allowed To Sign Autographs To Satisfy The Critics

We can now confirm that previous reports indicating that World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) management has told every member of the group Nexus to avoid being nice to the WWE Universe while outside WWE events.

The reason for this decision is to bring some more realism to the Nexus ‘invasion’ angle, WWE wants Nexus to be the most hated group in the WWE today. So management is doing everything within their power to make it clear to the WWE Universe that the group of Nexus are a bunch of bad guys or heels. WWE management and/or creative does not want the Universe cheering for Nexus, for one management feels it would not be politically correct to have fans cheering for a bunch of men destroying WWE property, Superstars and Hall Of Famers. WWE does not want to receive any heat with the media and they also don’t want to hurt Linda McMahon’s Senate campaign. Management fears if the fans begin to cheer for Nexus, that it would be perceived by many critics that the WWE is promoting violence, but by having the fans truly hate Nexus it will actually help WWE’s kid orientated programming, by teaching kids what not to do, that being a bully is wrong and a bad thing.

The group of Nexus is also not allowed to pose for any pictures with fans, they can not sign any autographs when approached by a fan, and they are also urged by the WWE to wear the black “N” armbands around their arms at all times. Although management has told Nexus not to be nice to fans, there has been many reports that when approached for an autograph they have been nice to fans, and simply say that they are currently not able to signing autographs at this time.

WWE knows the power of the WWE Universe and right now the WWE is using the Universe to satisfy their critics. That being said, do you like how they are forcing us to hate the Universe or do you think that this is overall a great idea to bring more heat/realism to this storyline?
