New WWE Talent Fear Name Changes

F4WOnline.com is reporting that several generational wrestlers who are currently in developmental are worried that WWE will change their names if/when they get called up to the main roster. In light of WWE changing NXT rookie names, like Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty, for example, some first generation WWE stars are upset that their children might have to endure name changes as well.

in order to get to the top sacrifices must be made...

although honestly i dont see why it's such a big deal. even with a different name, WWE announcers still refer to them as WWE 2nd or 3rd generation...

all the current 2nd generation guys fathers are talked about now so its not a big deal. the history isnt being lost

it aint a big deal really. i mean like magillicutty or w.e he's called has been mentioned as being curt hennings son, they dont deny that

they also class husky harris as a 3rd gen. so whats the biggy

Maybe I am the onlyone who has a problem with it, especially when it came to Joe Hennig.

When they say Mcguilcutty....old fans would be like.....Wait what? Beulah had a son??

Then they mention he's Mr. Perfect's son you like.."Oooohhhh"

I don't mind it too much, BUT the instant effect won't be there anymore, instead of them feading off the little fame their parents had to help them get over instantly, it slows down the process.

Need proof? Just look at Duece...or was it Domino.....no one knew he was Jimmy Snuka's step sun until....well, the whole Legacy Angle everyone wa slike "oohhh yeah, didn't know that" and i'm sure things would have went diffrently if the fans knew. But they didn't so it was epic fail

I don't see what the deal is. Gimmick names work. If they don't get lucky enough to get called to the E then they souldn't be complining about their name. They are still greenhorns and if and only if they get a good following/fanbase, then they can worry about their name. Most of the top guys don't even go by their real names anyways.

most ppls dreams are to become wwe stars, as far as wrestlers are concerned

second generation/third generation superstars immediately have an advantage in the race to be in WWE...because of their family history....so a name change shouldnt really be a worry

They should just happy that are even getting called up the main roster.
