the segment was ok i guess from a performance stand point

even though Layla was again made to look weak...i mean addmitting that Michelle made her is kinda dumb...she shoulda been like screw you, i won the damn title, so im the damn champ

it was obvious taht the title Layla was holding was a toy

the fact they were happy i mean at least LayCool are gonna be around for a while longer

but its gonna look stupid as shit seeing them carry half a title around each

That segment was dumb as hell. I wasn't digging that at all. I would've rather Teddy just said Layla pinned Beth in the handicap match so she is the women's champion, this is just getting stupid now

Lol, they couldn't have made that title break look any weaker. She barely tugged on it.

I really enjoyed the segment,maybe cause I seem to have a soft spot for these two. Though I didnt like Layla admitting that she wouldnt have got here without Michelle. It's true, to a certain extent, but Michelle needs Layla as well.

Segment quality? meh.

Ending to segment? LMFAO to it. Shit 'breaks' and the belt is flawless? Those two premeditated that shit.. lol

I agree. I didnt like the segment. Their 3rd grade antics are annoying as hell. I wish they split them up already or Beth comes back and takes them both out, which ever is first.

Do we need more Beth and Melina beating up on everyone else? Although LayCool is WWE's TBP, it's something different from which we typically see on WWE programing:

Babyfaces - bubbly, all-american girl attitude.

Heels - Slutty cheerleader/popular girl who's a bitch.

Even though Michelle is involved, Layla's getting her shine on, and she's never held gold before this.

I just think it's refreshing to finally have characters within the diva's division.

How are they any different from ladies in the past? Trish kicking Christy's head in and calling her a slut?

The numerous pillow fights?

All acts of children, if it wasn't an issue then. Why exactly is it an issue now?

I love Laycool, they are entertaining and they try their best to keep SD interesting, especially with girls like Kelly and Rosa wandering around being their usual terrible selves.

Im sorry if Im not a fan of Lay Cool, I dont like the co champs thing, Its getting old. TBH I never got into them. Their Piggie James storyline was disgusting imo.

^Thanks Blue I feel like I have to like LayCool around here. I like Lay but I cant stand Michelle. Like I said I will prolly feel differently if Lay got to be champ on her own without having to share it with someone.

Piggie James thing aside, I like them because they are characters - I like an interesting character to go with wrestling. Obviously they aren't the best at wrestling, though... more specifically Layla.

I feel the same way about the women as I do the men in regard to the same people getting pushed and winning titles. There are other options like Gail, Natalya, Jillian and Serena but we continue to get the same champs. That's why Layla's reign makes it a little more enjoyable.

I know she doesn't like LayCool and she has every right not to. I was just chiming in with my two cents. I've never bashed her for liking Beth or Melina. I was just saying that it would be the same 'ol. The day when/if Natalya wins the gold, I'll faint!!!!

I guess you can say I was defensive with this quote but I wasn't. I was simply asking how are Laycool any different from past divas? Many divas acted like children before.

I agree, I want McCool to get preggers or something. It'll give us 9 months of new girls in the spotlight but that sadly won't happen

Yes, it's a modification of TBP. I'll take that for a little while over Michelle, Maryse, Beth, Melina and Mickie (who was in the picture) for the last 2-3 years. It's so frustrating being a fan of Nat. (and a few others) because they don't do shit with her.

Yes, it could be Layla on her own. When they first paired them together I didn't like it because the focus was still going to be on Michelle. They didn't completey put her in Michelle's shadow which is why I was able to become a fan. I still would have liked it if Layla got this kind of push on her own, though. Gotta take what I can get!

That's the thing about Laycool, like I wrote in the other thread. I'd bet money if they break up, Layla will get lost in the shuffle again and eventually be released. Then McCool would go back to being an ineffective heel with no edge.

Even though Michelle is still the gold standard of divas on SD and is still in the title picture I can live with it because she's involved in something that is helping put over someone... for now.

Michelle will only put someone over if SHE is getting over as well. Meaning she'll only let someone else in the spotlight if she can be in there too which is where Layla comes in. How many times did Layla win a match because Michelle got in a kick when the ref was distracted? I'm actually surprised that Layla won by herself in her match with Tiffany on Superstars.

I just think Michelle needs to get out of the spotlight and let Layla shine on her own, she's much better than Michelle when it comes to charisma and she's decent in the ring. Layla is capable of doing it on her own.

Well that's their gimmick. I don't think Michelle is politicking for it backstage or something. Layla despite being the sidekick, has been shining though, she's doing a great job personality wise.

I don't know how much more clear I can be: I know Michelle is still the main focus on the show along with Layla, but at the moment she's sharing some glory with one less fortunate. As someone who likes seeing other peeps get their time, I content with this even though it'd be more pleasurable not having Michelle as the main focus.

Like I said before... gotta take what I can get! I'll take this over not having her as champ at all AND no Natalya as champion. I'M DYING TO SEE THAT SEXY CANADIAN WITH EITHER BELT...

Michelle hasn't won a match by herself in like six months...

In her fued with Mickie, the match she won she had Layla distract Mickie, allowing Michelle to retain. Vickie screwed Mickie as the special ref, allowing Michelle to regain the title. Michelle only defeated Beth in a seven on one, and a handicap match for the title. All times Michelle faced Tiffany, Layla has interfered, causing the distraction for Michelle to win. So now, Michelle hasn't won a match on her own merits since Melina (and even then Alicia/Layla distracted Melina).

Regardless though, Michelle has ALWAYS been in the spotlight, and most of the time she's had a title. It wouldn't hurt her to let Layla have her moment as the one and only champion

Great point. You need something to keep the ball rolling while the division is kinda at a standstll and the co-champ thing is a way to deflect some pressure off of the other girls who haven't been called upon to perform at their peak - girls who'll probably eventually get some kind of push because that's what WWE's vision is of a Women's/Divas champion.

I don't know if I agree with this. They would've found something for them like maybe more commentary during Divas matches...

It would've been interesting seeing Beth and Kaval, assuming they got put together.

Gail and Nattie would have been good mentors also, but I guess because women don't wrestle on NXT they decided to go with LayCool because they're a character driven duo whereas a team like Taylor and Hamada in TNA is just about wrestling. Something to boo, cheer or lol about.
