All-Japan kicked off the 2010 Summer Impact tour today, no doubt on a somber note following the death of Lance Cado. Results from Korakuen:
They claimed 1450 paid.
Taiyo Kea & Masanobu Fuchi beat Minoru & Hate in 10:03. Kea pinned Hate after TKO.
Jimmy Yang, Super Crazy & Antonio Thomas beat Kaz Hayashi, KAI & Hiroshi Yamato in 13:42. Yang pinned Hayashi. Which means Hayashi likely retains the title on 8/29.
Manabu Soya Return Match: Osamu Nishimura beat Manabu Soya in 12:59.
In a Mascara Contra Mascara (Mask vs. Mask) match, BUSHI beat MAZADA in 11:41. So presumably MAZADA loses, well, something. Or at the very least BUSHI keeps his mask.
TARU, KENSO & Rene Dupree beat Shuji Kondo, Seiya Sanada & Ryota Hama in in 11:45. KENSO pinned Kondo. TARU was the replacement for Cado.
Akebono beat Big Daddy Voodoo in 5:01.
Suwama & Masayuki Kono beat MInoru Suzuki & Masakatsu Funaki in 30:02. Suwama pinned Funaki after Last Ride.
Daily Sports reports there was a 10 bell salute for Cado before the event, and “TARU which leads VM “encountering, is prompt, but I are the companion eternally”, that, death of the member was lamented.”
