Buried. The truth.

I have been reading through threads which constantly go on about the disagreement of whether or not Michelle buried Melina. Let me give you some third-party insight. I don't want this to turn into an argument and get locked. If you can't disagree/agree to disagree calmly, you will be warned by a member of staff.

Buried - When a wrestler is continuously told to lose thus killing any kind of momentum their character may have had is being buried.

From this, I can honestly say that Michelle didn't bury Melina. Melina did lose credibility by losing to Michelle twice at the PPV, and in a few tag matches, but the fued wasn't one sided; as Kevin and LL pointed out, Melina had a lot of tag wins. I honestly hated Michelle pinning Melina as much as she did because I hated Michelle, but they needed to book Michelle as a strong champion to move on to Mickie.

Candice vs Melina was a burial. Lets look at some figures:

Candice defeated Melina in EVERY single match they had during the fued. The only time she lost to Melina was as a manager in a match she wasn't involved in, a 6 woman tag, a tag, and thats it. Candice won 5 weeks in a row in her fued with Melina. She defeated Melina one-on-one FOUR times.

After this fued Melina lost ALL of her credibility, and began losing fairly to Maria, etc, and only regained credibility when she began fueding with Beth again, and doing extremely well in the I Quit match, which she still lost anyway due to not being a serious threat for Beth at the time. Therefore this fulfills the "damaging their credibility" part of the definition.

Did Melina lose any credibility from her fued with Michelle? No, she didn't. She defeated Layla and Alicia constantly, and one week McCool would win, the next Melina would. She only lost to McCool because of interference from Alicia, therefore showing that McCool needed help to win. Melina went on to win the divas championship in her first night on Raw, and began burying Jillian/Alicia. THAT was a burial, as she defeated Jillian in every match they had. Jillian further lost credibility from her strong win over Mickie. They could've pushed Jillian, but Melina killed the potential she had in doing so.

So due to not fulfilling the "losing of credibility", I conclude that Melina wasn't buried by Michelle.

I'm not continuing the other thread, I'm summing up all of the threads involving Melina and Michelle.

I'm leaving this to X and LL to moderate. I have a feeling another big ass argument is going to start. No matter what you say and what proof you have, X, some people will still say Michelle buried Melina.

I honestly appreciate X for doing this, he explained things in a much better way without the snide remarks. Thanks alot for this man and I really hope the Melina fans appreciate this as much as I did.

X, I still think Michelle buried Melina in the first part of their feud and that's all I was talking about was the first part. Melina only got ONE win over Michelle and that was her first match on SD, the other wins were over Alicia who WASN'T her challenger and Michelle got the upperhand in that second match. Michelle also got the upperhand when she helped Layla pin Melina in the 6 diva tag and she also gave Melina a "jaw injury" in their tag match right before the ppv, then she went on to the bash to get the belt. So if you look at it that way, Melina only got the upperhand on Michelle once in the first part, the rest was all Michelle.

After Michelle had the belt is when Melina started getting wins and I don't consider her being buried then at all. Like I said, my main thing was when she first got there and feuded with Michelle.

^ I kinda agree McCool was getting the upper hand on Melina before The Bash but I think they wanted to really push her to make her more credible.

I don't know if I would call it being burried but I don't think Melina or McCool burried each other since they each got the upper hand on each other at some points last year.

Yeah, it was definitely one sided. I'm just glad Melina started winning matches after Michelle had the belt.

It's definitely nothing compared to the Candice/Melina feud that's for sure since Candice went through Melina every single week and Michelle is also 20x better than Candice so that's another plus. Candice didn't deserve that superwoman push or the belt to begin with

I understand where your coming from, but there is a difference between burying and dominating someone in a fued. I think we can all agree Michelle dominanted Melina for the majority of their fued. However after the fued, and during, Melina wasn't made to look incredibly weak, and didn't exit the fued looking sour and jobbing. She maintained her credibility as a top diva, hence why she got a divas title push.

Burying is Mickie defeating Melina in a tag match with just a neckbreaker- Melina lost even more credibility from losing so easily, after the back and forth fued they had a year before. However Melina, although dominanted in matches by Michelle, didn't lose any credibility from losing- as it was usually as a result of interference.

Melina was never once buried..she was dominated yes, fueds are like that, someone dominates...but thats not burying them

as X said, and as i keep trying to make the point, it aint JUST about how many matches you win, its about how the opponents lose and look after them.

Melina pinned Alicia, which was sending mind games to Michelle, she beat her bitch, she will beat her.
Layla could only pin Melina, following some interference from Michelle, making Melina look strong and not beatable.

I'm Happy X solved the problem and all.

BUT I do think Me and LL do deserve an apology, simply because we were right, we said everything X said but got attacked and our heads bitten off, despite the fact, bringing up the same exact point X braught up to begin with
