| In an update on Chris Jericho's contract status with World Wrestling Entertainment, his current deal — which was signed in 2007 — expires in a few weeks and he has yet to sign a new one. While both sides are negotiating a new deal, it is not guarantee that he will remain with the company.

| Hope he stays a little while longer... at least another year. The guy is captivating. | |

- When it comes to negotiations, both sides are of course talking and although Jericho has been rumored for a long while to be leaving the promotion once his contract expires, it seems as if he is definitely open to be returning to WWE.
Many speculated that he would opt to go elsewhere, with new opportunities being presented to him after hosting the primetime ABC game show, Downfall over the summer, as well as performing as the lead singer of his heavy metal rock band, Fozzy.
If Jericho is indeed going to remain in the business of sports entertainment, expect him to re-sign with World Wrestling Entertainment, as there is bad blood amongst Jericho and many higher rankings individuals inside Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, most specifically Eric Bischoff.

| Chris Jericho is a satndout wrestler and easily the best promo man of today, he is one of the all time greats. His promos could probably get him into the Hall Of Fame with his career to back it up.
If Chris Jericho wishes to leave the WWE, then that's fine by me. But I do think if Jericho leaves the WWE it should be to retire from wrestling. He left once and then came back but leaving twice and then coming back is overdoing it a little bit I think (I know I've left and come back to the forum twice so no mentioning that).
I think this is sorta a win/win for Jericho. If he stays he has the chance to become one of the greatest of all time. If he leaves he has the chance to focus more on things like Fozzy and his new TV show.
I won't him to stay, but I also think he should do what is best for him.

| Jericho is deffo one of the greatest in the industry, from a wrestling and a talking standpoint....and he is certainly a HOHer one day. so i do agree with VLG on that perspective. i dont think he's the GREATEST promoer ever....he is very reptitive and quite monotonous and if i heard Hypocrit, Parasite etc it would only be too soon | |

| I don't think he's the best promo guy ever, just one of them. He is definitely a legend though.
I find it funny also that one of the things he can thank WCW for is promos. Considering he only had 2(?) notable storylines in 3 years I find it amusing that he was cutting promos nearly every other week.

| Everyone uses the same phrases over and over again, it's their trademark. It was more prevalent before the monday night wars died because there more wrestlers that had their own catchphrases. I can hardly think of any of today's breed in American wrestling who have something as unique as what Jericho has. Hypocrite and Parasite is the equivalent of Stone Cold's What!, or Ric Flair's Woo - one word that is used repeatedly, but it caught on. It's not on the same level imo, but it's all a part of the wrestling cult-like culture that we love so much. | |

| i get that but just to throw this out there....i cant stand Austins What or Flairs Woo lol and ive never been a fan of a lot of ppls trademark catchphrases...hence why i dont like Jericho having one even if he is one of the only ones to have a actual catchphrase | |

| Don't like catchphrases (or most anyway)? I respect that. I'm just saying why it works so well.
Oh, and he did say hypocrite recently on Raw. It was this week or last.

| I really hope he stays. He is one of the best Raw has. I want to see him with another WWE title run as well. But whatever he choses to do I will support him but Raw wont be the same or as good without him.
I think he has it in him to stay a few more years.
