Divas Champion, Melina, was in the WWE.com Raw live chat moments ago and commented on her upcoming title unification match with one half of Lay-Cool at Night of Champions. She wrote (and please excuse the caps):

* THIS IS AN EXCITING MOMENT! THIS IS AN AMAZING CHALLENGE THAT I’M ALL FOR! TO HAVE THE DIVAS SUPPORT SAYS SO MUCH AND I AM SO GRATEFUL. IT’S ALSO A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD NOW. ONE ON ONE.

* NOW THAT ITS ONE ON ONE IT’S GOING TO BE FAIR AND I KNOW IT WILL BE GOOD. LET’S SEE WHO IT IS, LAYLA OR MICHELLE. I’M READY FOR THIS.

* EVERYTHING IS ON THE LINE FOR NOC. BOTH THE TITLES. IT’S GOING TO BE AN AGGRESSIVE MATCH.

As much as I can see Melina winning, I can see Layla or Michelle winning just as much because of the Beth Phoenix factor. Though... it would be cool to see her come back and get her issues with LayCool out of the way then destroy Melina and take the title - and make her cry some more lmao!

id love for Teddy to change it on the night and make it a winner take all tag team match with Beth returning and winning the womens title...or Michelle winning the divas title.

but like i posted in the wwe section, WWE are planning on unifying all the titles within the next year...so 1 World title, 1 Secondary title, 1 Womens title and 1 Tag title.

so my hope for Beth to return in a tag match clearly wont happen.

i COULD potentially see LayCool winning, because Beth clearly is being built up to be the top face of the company....this generations Trish dare i say....so if Melina won...she wouldnt be able to feud with Beth as shes a face, and its beyond WWE to do face v face.

My question would be, if Michelle wrestled the match, would Michelle be the champion...and if so, thats totally unfair to Layla, as she wouldnt have even lost her title, it would just be moved to Michelle.

They do the mutual respect one common goal thing with the Divas much more than they do with the guys, so I think it's foreseeable.

Layla is NOT winning this match....not a chance in hell.

I would rather see McTwiggy win because we just watched Plastic Face bury Alicia.

I think this should go to Melina personally, not becasuse I love her becasue Michelle has already made history like 3 times.

Yeah Michelle has burried people. The reason I pick on Michelle becasue I feel she can do better for the divison and not make it all about her, since she has all of this control from being MARRIED to Undertaker. Im not trying to bring her marriage into this, but I feel thats the biggest reason WWE keep pushing her for 3 years dispite not getting over, improving very little if at all on the mic. If it was anyone else I think they will have given up on them, but n o not Michelle.

That is where I have a problem with Michelle.

I dont think Melina has the same influence becasue shes not married to a future hall of famer and legend in the bussiness.

I think Michelle can be a little less greedy and share the love.

Since I've been here there have so many predictions of these HUGE roster cuts and they never happen.

Peeps suggest that 10-20 folks will get fired at once and usually once a few sucky bastards get let go (including divas.)

Off the top of my head

Beth, Natalya, Tamina, Melina, Maryse, Kelly, The Bella's, Michelle & Layla will for now make the complete roster. 10 names, perfect size, 5 are currently out of the division, so they could be fillers, Melina & Kelly & LayCool will hold things down till Beth comes back. And those 4 (Melina/Beth/LacCool) hold things down till one decide to retire and let's hope by then someone new gets signed)

Eve is still a maybe for me.

Jillian might be kept because ......she's managed to keep her job this long.

Rosa, Alicia, Tiffany, should def start praying.

Yes, or just become the Khali of the Divas division.

Lol you all act like Chyna was this giant woman, she wasn't that huge, someone like ROxxi or Sara del Rey would actually look pretty up to par with her, she was just a Very muscular woman.....which Isis is not....so don't see that happening.
