Returning from injury to capture the Divas Championship at SummerSlam, Melina has every reason to be in a celebratory mood these days. However, SmackDown’s resident “mean girls,” Michelle McCool & Layla, have bullied the Latina lovely over the past several weeks with a series of verbal and physical assaults. When Team Lay-Cool revealed they had a surprise in store for Melina on Raw’s 900th episode celebration, the Divas Champ was justifiably skeptical.

Confronting Melina with a dose of their infamously candid “real talk,” Lay-Cool accused the Diva of being “forgettable,” proposing a Championship Unification Match at Night of Champions to determine the most deserving titleholder in the Divas division. Either Michelle or Layla will battle Melina, and the winner will leave Night of Champions with both the Women’s and the Divas Championships, unifying the titles for the first time in history.

Melina accepted the challenge, but given Lay-Cool’s inclination to bend the rules, the Divas Champion demanded that every WWE Diva on the roster be at ringside as lumberjack to ensure that this indeed a fair fight – a near-foreign concept to the cunning “Co-Women’s Champs.”

As we saw on SD Kaval drew Michelle's name out of a hat so she will be facing Melina. Layla wasn't happy when she realized that Michelle had rigged it and Layla's name was on none of the pieces of paper and stated Michelle would be on her own.

I definitely see Melina winning with Layla costing Michelle or Layla coming out and telling Michelle she spoke to Teddy and she will be the one facing Melina since she's the current women's champion. Either way Laycool are heading for a breakup.

I'm hoping the match gets some time and is good but usually lumberjill matches aren't that great.

Im going to go for the least probable option and that's Layla getting herself involved and wins..cause I dun wanna see the other two with any titles for some time.

That graphic is really fucked up how they show Layla with the belt yet McCool is facing her lol.

At this point I don't even care what happens to tell you the truth. I'm tired of reading about this match and who'll face who and what will happen with LayCool in the match in the match and after (speaking in long term.) FUCK ALL OF THEM, BY GOD! EVEN Layla this time!

I'm also tired of Undertaker and Kane. Kane has been great, but they should've waited or just not had part 60 of their feud. How much more can they possibly do? Decent... not even nice, build up so far; but it will fall short because we ALL know the end result.

And don't bitch to me about Oh, if you don't wanna talk Divas then go elsewhere! Fuck you! You don't own the internet and you don't own the board, so get over yourself. It really isn't that serious, OK!

i kinda woulda like to see Michelle win...and then Layla come out and force Michelle to wrestle her...as shes the womens champ and then have Layla win

What a shitty match. Slow, uncoordinated, and the fact that announcers had to go "Why aren't the lumberjills doing anything?"

The ending came with Michelle botching a top turnbuckle move and everyone looked at each other like "That wasn't suppose to happen? " Layla then gets in the ring only to get chucked out of the ring by Melina. Michelle gets the big boot for the win.

To earn Nr. 1 contenders match, you have to first wrestle.....and when it comes to title contenderships....the only person under Natalya.....is Tamina. Natalya is like at the bottom of the barrell Which is sad...but funny.

Really liked the Kaitlyn and Vickie altercations continuing over a pay-per-view match. This is the sort of thing that will really get Kaitlyn over...especially since none of the other NXT divas got to appear. I'd love for Dolph to dump Vickie for Kaitlyn after NXT and have Kaitlyn act as a valet for a main event superstar like Dolph while she trains. There was a bit of a disagreement between Vickie and Dolph at the end of the match so it would be good to play on that over the next NXT episodes. Really love Vickie's role in the WWE.


I actually really enjoyed the unification match, possibly because I thought Melina was going to win so it came as a bit of a surprise. I realised I'm not ready for LayCool to split up, so although I don't know how this will go down in the title history (from Layla to Michelle), I'm happy they got the win...especially because Layla seemed reluctant to support Michelle at the start but then helped her get the win at the end. It made an interesting story.

I found it interesting that they used Natalya to get into a brawl with McCool and gave the spotlight to her. I would have thought Kelly or Rosa would have been the obvious choice so hopefully Natalya will be next to challenge LayCool.

michelle is the unified champ and i think they will be debuting a new belt now.

When this first got announced I said Michelle would get in the match and win because Michelle is banging Taker and easily has made history by becoming the first divas champ, the first woman to win both the divas and women's championship and I said she would be the first to unify the belts. A lot of people, of course, went and said "No, Melina will win because Melina buries everyone" refusing to believe that Michelle has infact, buried way more people to make HERSELF look better.

I was trying to have hope after the SD segment because I really thought Melina had it won and thought that Layla would cost Michelle. Layla was the current champion so it wouldn't have made sense for Michelle to win, but of course, I was wrong.

Layla was pissed as hell out there, didn't even go over when the divas were beating on Michelle yet she went in there and helped Michelle get the win in the end. That made Layla look so fucking stupid. Here is the current women's champ who SHOULD'VE been in the match, helping someone who rigged getting in there to begin with.

Michelle is a selfish bitch and is using Taker's power to her advantage. Did we see Taker bury Kane tonight? No, he did the right thing and put Kane over, but Michelle will NEVER do the right thing. She couldn't let Layla stay in the spotlight as the current champion, she had to be in there and she HAD to get herself in the match so she could once again make history.

It's all about Michelle and that's all the division is, it's the Michelle division. You can talk all you want about how Melina supposedly buried this person and supposedly buried that person but Michelle has buried EVERYONE. Melina actually cares about making her opponents look great in the ring, she'll let them get offense, Michelle only cares about herself and that will never change.

As for the match, the only good thing I can say is it was really good, Melina got more offense in than I thought she would. Both girls had great attires. I think the wrong woman won though. Michelle doesn't deserve to make all of this history, she didn't deserve to beat Natalya, she didn't deserve to be the first woman to hold the divas and women's championship and she didn't deserve to beat Melina tonight.

As much as I love Melina I'm done with the division because it will always be the same. Michelle will have a 5 or 6 month reign then drop the title to Beth and then Michelle will more than likely be back in the title picture. She won't ever go away, not unless Taker retires which hopefully that is soon.

I hope if they do get a new belt it looks good and continues the Women's Titles legacy although I think it is now pretty dead.

I think they will just keep the divas title it's all about marketing with Vince and diva title just been around a couple years no need to redo it yet.

And for you guys actually happy with the result and are fans of Michelle, you guys really hate the other divas. Like "really want to see them all get soak in gasoline and pushed into a volcano" hate because Michelle being on top doesn't do ANY thing for the other divas. Does she put on good matches? No. Does she cut good promos? No. Does she get a reaction? No. Does she present any reasonable evidence as to WHY it is only HER who gets pushed as holier than thou? No.

Does understand the power of nepotism and exploits it to make the other divas look like fucking idiots? Yes. That bullshit about her "wanting" to help the other divas is exactly that..Bullshit. Otherwise her boring ass would be at least trying to sell some of the shitty offense in the matches.
