This means the women's championship is now defuct.....since Michelle is now known as the last Divas champion so they will use that championship from now on.

Layla is the last women to hold the women's championship and is no longer champion.....according to the report.

I said 'officially', with the 'official' end of the Women's Championship 'officially' ending the little sliver of credibility left over from a few years ago and 'officially' no longer labeling them as women anymore. what a shame.

Melina was the divas champion, would've made more sense for her to win but of course Michelle had to make more history.

You do realize that's just filler til Beth returns right? WWE only does something right when they have no other options and it gives Michelle someone else to bury.

And I still find it funny that no one is bitching about Michelle in the spotlight. LayCool have been in the spotlight for MONTHS and will continue til Beth returns, sad sad division...

I would like it if I thought she had a chance but she doesn't. LayCool will go through her, and another diva til Beth comes back and finally puts an end to them then the division will be alive again.

You say that but you can't say you hate Michelle being in the spotlight, but like when Melina is. Truth is, if she didn't get injured she would've been in the spotlight.

Melina puts people over because she has people to put over. She put over Candice during her super Candice reign, and McCool when McCool was being built as this huge thing. She hasn't put over Alicia, Maryse, etc because they weren't being pushed in Melina's league. For Michelle's case, shes only dealt with Melina, Mickie & Beth, who all had a lot of credibility. Kelly, etc aren't seen by WWE as good enough to be put over by McCool.

Melina was in the Womens title spotligh all through 2009, then she went to Raw and became involved in the divas title spotlight instantly. She got injured and came back and was back in the spotlight. Michelle has been in the spotlight longer because she hasn't had two long injuries.

Nattie and Gail can challenge for it also. All Melina winning gives us is boring fueds with Alicia and Michelle, where Michelle will win anyway because her and Layla are the only heels.

Melina has been in the spotlight since around 2005...and properly as a wrestler in early 2007
Michelles only been pushed since 2008...ppl keep saying shes been pushed since 2007...but she aint...when your one of 3 active wrestling divas its gonna be hard to have her do anything other then wrestle....and if that is the case then Victoria was pushed in 07 also

Trish was pushed 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 non stop until she got injured. Then she was pushed late 2005, 2006 until she retired...

I can understand your point but they totally shit on Melina as well if that's the case. They gave her that push when she came back and she beat Alicia just like that then got buried by LayCool and now will be out of the spotlight. The booking gets on my nerves and always has on Raw, that's why I prefer SD's booking. I hope Melina gets sent back there.

Its the exact same as Alicia getting all this momentum and credibility as a champion, only for Melina to come and make it all a waste of time

All I'm going to say is, with the WOmen's Champion out of the way, this makes Maryse the only Canadian CHampion in History (which is like 2 years of history) but Still

And that goes back to the dumb booking. They could've had Alicia retain and continue her feud with Melina but they were in a rush to do this unification match.

lol. Somehow, I have found myself agreeing with Mintz on the whole Michelle vs Melina debacle. Maybe because I don't have the misfortune of Michelle going down on me. Thank gawd.



As far as the championship being renamed.. Does it even matter? It has been the "Michelle does whatever she f'n wants" belt since 2008.

TBH I really wouldn't have cared if Melina won......BUT it's how she won it. Again Alicia got NO wins, NO advantages over Melina in those 13 days.

Both of you seem to believe we hate Melina so much and we all cherish Michelle, we have not once said Michelle is great, amazing or perfect for the division, we all would love to see her fall off a bridge and break her Jaw, Both Legs and Both arms...and if possible break her neck as well just so she doesn't come back. She's been overpushed, shoved down our throats and should remain out of the spotlight for like the next 2 years and I STILL believe Taker has something to do with her being pushed.

BUT when it comes down to booking, which i love, because i usually study match and fued booking pretty detailed, the feuds with Michelle are booked to perfection with both sides getting enough momentum.....what seems to be the problem is whoever is booking her matches, they are giving her WAY too much to do and not taking enough offence and that is what is hurting her opponents. But i guess after this sentence you automatically see "I hate Melina" don't you?

I love this post actually. I really wish I would've seen this before I did my long ass post in the spoilers thread. Her being with Taker definitely is the reason why she's being pushed so much, I believe she's using his power to her advantage. You don't see Taker running around using his power to bury superstars, he's putting them over, but Michelle continues to win matches and make so much history. They weren't even that in love with Trish to have her make history, the only thing I remember her doing is retiring with the title.

I'm glad you brought up the feuds and everything because she's on SD and that's where the booking is usually great when it comes to long feuds and matches. I believe the divas book their own matches which would explain Michelle getting most of the offense. The only thing they get told is who is winning the match then they go out there and rehearse. But anyway, SD gets the good booking, long feuds, and matches, while Raw always gets short ass feuds and short matches which is why you see someone like Melina winning quickly and ending feuds quickly. What they could've actually done the night Melina returned is put her in a #1 contenders battle royal or match, then had Alicia pin her in a tag match the next week on Raw. Melina still would've won at SS yes, but Alicia still would've had some credibility for pinning her the week before. The booking on Raw is just stupid and they always rush feuds, that's why I like SD better.
