Backstage News on The Miz Losing The U.S. Title

According to a source within WWE, The Miz dropping the U.S. Title at tonight's WWE Night of Champions PPV should not be looked at as a demotion. Rather, WWE has big plans for The Miz in the future, and tonight's loss was engineered more to get the mid-card title off of him so he could be better positioned as a main event player.

WWE made the call to have Daniel Bryan go over The Miz cleanly to help Bryan look strong in victory, and not to punish or demote The Miz in anyway.

I did when they broke the news about future plans of a major push about a month or so, but it's certainly worth mentioning again isn't it?

Which is why I hate what's said on sites. This was totally obvious.

I loved Miz's face afterwards though, thats a good caption. "WHYYYYYYYYYYY????"

They meant that by taking the belt off Miz it will help benefit other midcarders instead of having him hold onto it for months with no real legit feuds and such.

Hopefully they send him to SD. The Miz is good, but I don't think from a presence or character stand point he would blend in or stand out as part of the Raw main event scene. They have four very different and very defined guys (Cena, Orton, Barrett and Sheamus) that all have much more main event star power than the Miz.

Yes. Like it or not, he has been booked as the top heel since June.

Once the Nexus angle is over so is Barrett's time in the ME scene for now. They're not going to move Miz to SD upon his push and with management and Vince behind him right now.

They wouldn't move him to Smackdown anyways.

How do you explain why a guy with a RAW Title Shot is wrestiling on Smackdown?

There were never any intended plans that everyone knew about, they just did it.

Miz first got on the good side of the boss, VINCE, to get the thumbs up for this huge push that's going to occur. Swagger isn't in the graces of Vince nearly to the degree that Miz is right now.

The IWC suspects that Miz could get Cena-esque treatment and be "the guy." And it could bery well happen...

More sad times abound for the WWE. To some folks, stop watching now before you get your heart broken...worse.
