First Look At New Fatal Frame

Nintendo just had their September Conference and announced next year's lineup. Among the titles included 'Zero' New work. Yes folks, Nintendo is publishing another Fatal Frame game sometime in the year 2011.

Koei & Tecmo both issued press statements on their own pages.

The screens presented, and the lack of story included in the release, makes a lot of fans speculate that we are looking at a remake of Fatal Frame II:Crimson Butterfly rather than a new fifth game. Mio & Mayu's designs have altered dramatically from their previous incarnations, as have their default costumes. It also appears gameplay may be over the shoulder just like Fatal Frame IV was.

The game is set for the Wii console. Besides a 'story mode' a 'Haunted House Mode' has also been advertised as being included in this game. Does this release mean Nintendo does have the full rights to the Fatal Frame/Zero/Project Zero title/series? Who knows. Does this mean we may never see a Fatal Frame Wii release stateside? An unnamed Tecmo representative did state that Tecmo is aware of it's international fans, but only time will truly tell.

These games are overrated.
