EXCLUSIVE: Top WWE Star Considering Retirement; Details

After speaking to a source in WWE earlier this evening, WrestleZone can now exclusively confirm that a top WWE star is strongly considering his retirement from the pro wrestling industry.

Out of respect to the superstar, who is still under contract with WWE, we will not be revealing his name at this point, however as the story continues to develop WZ will be providing more information. It should be noted that the wrestler in question is NOT Chris Jericho.

We have been told that the top star's contract is expiring with WWE in the very near future, and that he has several options on his plate outside of the pro wrestling world that he has a strong interest in exploring. We have also been told that if this wrestler does indeed leave WWE it will not be to jump ship to TNA, but rather to quit the wrestling business altogether and focus on other avenues.

WZ will continue to update this situation as it develops.

It's John Cena. He can't handle being apart of Nexus & having to wear that shirt. He's lost all the kids & girls so he's retiring to go do his movies & hope they sell better than the Nexus shirts.

the sad part is i saw a better Nexus shirt on WWEshop.com...and yet they still continuing to push those stupid 'N' shirts.

Well it's not Cena...that's for sure....he won't risk looking stupid after all the crap he gave the Rock for getting out of th biz to persue acting

Mysterio, Undertaker and Edge. Those are the only big names I can think of who are at a point where they might consider retiring.

Orton would be a possibility, as he may wish to spend more time with his daughter but his contract's not up for another 7-8 years or summat stupid like that.

My money's on Edge.

Edge has stated that he would stay at least two more years. This was within the year to my recollection... It's possible that he's changed his mind.

We all know Taker has been saying that he won't be around too much longer.

Rey said that between the injuries and his family, he wants to get out while he has the chance. But he wanted to stay for three more years.

The Injuries and stuff might be bothering him.

He been actting and probably got multiple jobs he can do in WWE backstage and not wrestle.

He wouldn't jump to TNA.

I never thought of Big Show or HHH. I think I heard a rumour from somewhere that Big Show was nearing the end of his second run in WWE.
