Report: Vince McMahon Happy w/ Michael Cole

Apparently Michael Cole's recent push is due to Vince McMahon. McMahon loves the way that Cole is playing his character and delivering creative's messages at the announcing booth.

Cole will appear on Smackdown! to help get over what the company needs them to with the new move to SyFy.

Some say that it has to do with Grisham's play-by-play while others are saying the main reason is to get the storylines over, including Cole's.

He never liked JR. He brought Cole in ages ago as an attempt to replace him (it failed). He always wanted personality-less announcers. Vince is in paradise right now, he always loved that 80's-mid-90's comic book shit and it's what he's been trying to get back to for ages. Guess he doesn't know you move forward, not backward.

as much as he seems to annoy me, I'd rather listen to Grisham than Cole...

Michael Cole's over-marking of LayCool makes it annoying to watch them wrestle while he is on commentary.

i loved Striker's playful marking (singing Michelle's theme...calling Layla his lil british muffin or w/e) But Cole straight kisses their asses bigtime....so now i dont even enjoy them much anymore be cause of him.

He annoys me more during The Miz's matches. I like Miz, but damn... I can't deal with the ass-polishing.

Michael Cole probably shouldn't be on commentary anymore. Making him the GM and jsut pray he is the next Mike Adamle.

I think Cole is doing a good job with his character but what Vince doesn't realise is that Cole gets booed because people find him annoying, not because he's getting over (after 10+ years you'd expect him to be over already anyways)

tonight on superstars they had some guy named Scot commentating with King...oince i got past the monotone voice of his he was pretty cool. better than listening to Cole, that's for sure.

Cole for me is the only reason I watch NXT,I also enjoy him on Raw, you can't deny that he is showing personality and I hope it gets better from here. "YEAH GET HIM MIZ, GET HIM!!"

Cole and Striker are the only two ppl i enjoy listenting to
they may be annoying or w.e but at least they have character...and have emotion etc

Cole is just an annoying ass. him showing personality has made him even more annoying and cringe-worthy. I prefer Matt Striker. he's a kiss ass...but atleast he comes up for air between every session of ass-kissing.

His personality now is the same it's always been jsut now it's been made into a character: a shit-talking bitch that runs when confronted. Cole has always been consistent.
