| Voting registrars in Connecticut have the ability to request that voters wearing WWE clothes cover their clothing due to the fact that Linda McMahon is associated with the company. Federal law prohibits political material in polling places. Specific enforcement of the rule will be up to the individual polling locations.
UPDATED: WWE has posted a response to the ruling on their website. The response says that fans' right to vote "was threatened" and includes a quote from Vince McMahon:
"Denying our fans the right to vote, denying them their First Amendment rights, regardless if they are Democrat, Republican or Independent, is un-American, unconstitutional and blatantly discriminatory," said Vince McMahon, Chairman and CEO of WWE. Yes, Vince is definitely pissed off.
