The Reason CM Punk Is A WWE Announcer Now

According to WWE sources, CM Punk is expected to remain on the RAW broadcast booth for the next several months. The main reason for this is because Vince McMahon has always been a fan of a three-man announce team. That is also part of the reason we see Striker/Cole/Lawler calling WWE pay-per-view events. The call was made at add Punk to the announce booth as he's expected to be out of action several months due to a lower back injury. WWE officials wanted to keep him on TV while he recovers so this worked out well for them.

now if we could get rid of Cole, we'd be in heaven.

Their commentator booth got kicked up a notch, too bad I'm not watching to see how it works out, I'm sure Punk is doing a great job, with his persona enhancing that lackluster commentating, that seems to be a winner to me.

He has mic skills, charisma and a personality. I dont see a downside to this. Nice move by WWE.

CM Heel has been excellent...he's been punking the shit out of Cole.

He's seems more of a tweener each week - especially during last night's main event. That could be a good change for him amongst his return.

I caught the McIntyre/Kaval main event a couple of weeks ago.

I don't have the channel, so I don't bother going to Ustream or Justin.tv to watch it.

Yeah his voice is kinda...robotically monotone lol

but, he's a good announcer.

Yeah, and WWE posts full episodes of Smackdown and Superstars on YouTube a couple days after the show.

Punk, I hear, is doing a pretty awesome job at the booth....

the reason hes on commentary is because hes legit injured and they want him on tv

then how is it lame hes on there? its either that or keep him off tv for a few months
