John Cena Suffers Injury

According to some fans in attendance at the WWE event in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, John Cena seems to have injured his leg in his cage from the Wasteland finishing move in his match against Wade Barrett.

Their main event match was back and forth and consisted mostly of Barrett attempting to escape and Cena stopping him. Around the 20 minute mark, Barrett got Cena in the Wasteland and dropped Cena on the mat. Apparently everything stopped and the trainers came to the ring and were talking with Barrett and Cena. After that Cena put on a Lebell Lock hold that wasn't the STF, Barrett tapped out, and left the ring quickly.

John Cena's injury at the Wilkes-Barre house show appears to be a legitimate injury. After Wade Barrett began climbing the cage, he stopped as Cena didn't follow him. Cena needed the ropes to get to his feet while Barrett pretended to have his leg stuck in the cage. Cena countered a punch with a submission for a quick tapout. After the match, Cena thanked everyone for coming and said he may need time off, and he appeared unable to put weight on his leg as he left. More in the AM.

LMFAO he was injured but they still had Barrett lose in humiliating fashion? Interesting.

Shit. I hope he's okay and it's not that serious.

Whats dumb in it all is WWE not stopping the match then. I remember doctors telling sports players in the nfl and shit never to stand up and try to walk off the field on there own at times because you getting up and moving on a leg injuries and stuff can make it worse where as if you stablize a break or something it can help avoid surgeries and stuff. I would of had the ref tell the guy climb out the cage if wwe wanted a ending.

When an injury happens like that it's hard to think about what to do at that moment. I'm not even concerned with the way the match ended, I'm concerned with his injury.

Barrett should've just climbed out of the cage. It's just a house show.

John Cena needs time off this leg injury could be a good thing for him.

Punk and Nexus getting a push off of this would help wwe out a lot and make them find another face for raw.

yeah...would be nice to see who WWE decides to have step up if Cena cant do it.

This whole Punk/Nexus thing just got started again and I was actually looking forward to it so I'm still hoping he's okay. I don't think they could get another face as over as Cena. Orton would be the only other choice but he's gonna be busy facing Miz at the rumble

That's really the only thing that annoys me at times. I'm still a huge fan of his but it's sad seeing him get the main event slot over the actual WWE champs, it happened with Orton and it's happening with Miz now. I can understand this weeks Raw because of Punk and everything but the rest needs to stop.

That's what's making me mad as well. They should've given Jomo his shot at the rumble after all the great matches he's put on. That ladder match with Sheamus was seriously insane. There's still a small part of me hoping he wins next week but I know it won't happen.

You and I both, but we know what will happen. Cena will be on t.v in some form or fashion. Even if people have to go to his hospital bedside and job to his RN and then FU"d by his surgeon.

I like how he's uber-buff on the top half of his body, but uber skinny on the bottom....batista at least filled out on all fronts. Can't carry all the fuckin' muscle, Cena, you lose mobility haha
