What's so bad about lust?

Why is the 7 deadly sins so bad/deadly? (please read)?


These
are the seven deadly sins: Anger, Greed, Sloth, Pride, Lust, Envy, and
Gluttony and I will list some reason why they are not bad and its not
going to hell worthy

Pride- is it bad to feel good about yourself?
Wrath- You have to get angry and let it out once in a while right?
Lust- sex brings life
Envy- people get jealous sometimes... no biggie
Sloth- Is it bad to just sit back and chillax??
Gluttony- why is it bad to be hungry??? and eat???
Greed- i wont say its good but dont you get tired of sharing all the time? you need to have something all for yourself ya know?

ANSWER

Let's take them one at a time. I understand that you are 15.

Pride is a feeling about your self perception and very different from
being proud of something you accomplished. If your actions do not
support your self perception, then you may find it easy to justify a
poor quality action so that you can continue to support some perception
of yourself that you find satisfying. Now consider that you can
understand the quality of your person through the quality of your
actions without ever having to predetermine how great you are. It is
better to be great through great actions than think we are great
regardless of our actions.

Wrath is an attack against someone else because they made you angry.
Even if they did something bad, to attack them is showing the same poor
quality actions that they showed to do a bad thing. Also, to get angry
at what someone else does gives them control over you and your emotions.
It is much better to just hold someone responsible for their actions,
which can be done in a matter of fact way. And finally, when you get
angry at someone and attack them, it gives them justification for
whatever they did to make you angry.

Lust is about you and not the other person. Sex is not about what you
want, it is about giving to a person you care about. Lust makes the
other person into an object of desire, which is to take what you want
without regard to the other person.

Envy disrespects
what you have in favor of wanting more. Find appreciation in what gifts
you have and do not worry about what someone else has.

Sloth means to not use the gifts you were blessed with. If you bury your
gifts in favor of laziness, then everybody else loses out. You are
unique and have something special to offer. Consider that there never
has been anyone like you in all of history and after you are gone there
never will be anyone like you again. How will you choose to use you
beautifully unique person in the short time you have on this earth. We
all need each other for healthy survival.

Gluttony is over consumption to the point of waste and shows a lack of
appreciation for what you have, because you are willing to waste it.

Greed is an effort
to get as much for yourself without regard to anyone else. As I have
said, we all need each other for healthy survival. Seems like capitalism
is about greed.

I think if I had any of them, I have pride. I can get pretty big-headed sometimes, which is rarely useful for me. I reckon sloth is the worst as it goes hand in hand with gluttony and can lead to greed also.

I'd say I'm a Sloth for some reason. It's just me. Not that it's a good thing though.

I have a problem with lust. Maybe Pride. I can't feel pride? I can't think of "relations".

It can fall under other categories but it should be a main one.

I got to admit Christianity does make you too righteous. They all want people to believe in their God when there's probably one universal God for all religions.

I may not be good enough to be Christian.

I'm bad for being good but not good enough to be Christian good.

I don't live by sins, I live by right and wrong.

I still believe a "god" created the world but it's not so simple.

If I had to, I'd choose Wrath. I love retribution being delievered to those who deserve it.

LMFAO at those reading too much into it. It's called moderation, guys, it's not saying you CAN'T do those things because that's impossible, we're human. It just asks you to attempt to contain yourself but that's up to you and shit, I'm no judge.

I would say if I fit into any of these, it'd be a mix between wrath, lust, and greed.

I still believe in a god. And I hope there is a true good god but it doesn't seem to be that simple.

That's what I said. I just saying Christianity really makes you unintentionally look down on people. Yes I did that too. So I'm backing off.
