THE RITE (January 28, New Line Cinema)

Adapted from a book by
Matt Baglio and inspired by true events, 1408 director Mikael Hafstrom's
The Rite follows skeptical seminary student Michael Kovak (Colin
O'Donoghue), who reluctantly attends exorcism school at the Vatican.
While he's in Rome, Michael meets an unorthodox priest, Father Lucas
(Anthony Hopkins), who introduces him to the darker side of his faith,
uncovering the devil's reach even to one of the holiest places on Earth.

UNKNOWN (February 18, Warner Bros.)

Dr.
Martin Harris (Liam Neeson) awakens after a car accident in Berlin to
discover that his wife (January Jones) suddenly doesn't recognize him
and another man (Aidan Quinn) has assumed his identity. Ignored by
disbelieving authorities and hunted by mysterious assassins, he finds
himself alone, tired and on the run. Aided by an unlikely ally (Diane
Kruger), Martin plunges headlong into a deadly mystery that will force
him to question his sanity, his identity, and just how far he's willing
to go to uncover the truth. House of Wax/Orphan director Jaume
Collet-Serra gets behind the camera.

RED RIDING HOOD (March 11, New Line)

From
Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke: Valerie (Amanda Seyfried) is a
beautiful young woman torn between two men. She is in love with a
brooding outsider Peter (Shiloh Fernandez), but her parents have
arranged for her to marry the wealthy Henry (Max Irons). Unwilling to
lose each other, Valerie and Peter are planning to run away together
when they learn that Valerie's older sister has been killed by the
werewolf that prowls the dark forest surrounding their village. For
years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast,
offering the creature a monthly animal sacrifice. But under a blood red
moon, the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life. Hungry for
revenge, the people call on famed werewolf hunter, Father Solomon (Gary
Oldman), to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon's arrival brings
unintended consequences as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form
by day, could be any one of them. As the death toll rises with each
moon, Valerie begins to suspect that the werewolf could be someone she
loves. Panic grips the town as Valerie discovers that she has a unique
connection to the beast--one that inexorably draws them together, making
her both suspect...and bait.

FINAL DESTINATION 5 3D (August 26, New Line)

In
this fifth installment, Death is just as omnipresent as ever, and is
unleashed after one man’s premonition saves a group of coworkers from a
terrifying suspension bridge collapse. But this group of unsuspecting
souls was never supposed to survive, and, in a terrifying race against
time, the ill-fated group frantically tries to discover a way to escape
Death’s sinister agenda.

THE APPARITION (September 9, Warner Bros.)

When
frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly
(Ashley Greene) and Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted
by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university
parapsychology experiment. The horrifying apparition feeds on their fear
and torments them no matter where they try to run. Their last hope is
an expert in the supernatural (Tom Felton), but even with his help they
may already be too late to save themselves from this terrifying force...

CONTAGION 3D (October 21, Warner Bros.)

Contagion
follows the rapid progress of a lethal airborne virus that kills within
days. As the fast-moving epidemic grows, the worldwide medical
community races to find a cure and control the panic that spreads faster
than the virus itself. At the same time, ordinary people struggle to
survive in a society coming apart.

With only this info here is my initial response to all the movies:

The Rite sounds stupid.

Unkown is decent.

I don't know if I like Red Ridding Hood. I have seen some previews and I'll probably pass.

Final Destination 5 3D is kinda overkill but I'll see it either in theaters or on dvd for sure.

The Apparition is not something that interests me.

Contagion 3D [Why in 3D?] seems like it could be cool but like all of these I'll have to see previews etc to make my mind up fully.
