Report: WWE Not Hiring Older Talent

Rumors are going around that WWE is only seeking talents under the age of 30, particularly especially talents that would enter their developmental system.

It's not said to be an official edict, but several talents have been told this in recent weeks when trying to get work with the company.

They'll regret it. Believe that. They have no vets to play off of, they won't reach any potential they have. In other words, they're fucked in the long haul and by extension, everyone else.

Jordan's right. The younger guys may be the stars of the future but the vets are the guys that make them into stars. If you don't have vets you don't have anyone for the younger guys to learn from.

right now I think it will work for them. I mean Cena,Orton,etc ain't planning to leave till they are in there 40's. Sheamus,Morrison,Ziggler,etc who are being buried by the older talent being signed.

Good point. One, it isn't official, though I think they will go that direction. Two, there aren't talks of them only hiring talents under 30 permanently. There's no way the company would survive that way. Plus, there are still guys there who are either retired or off-screen talents to learn from.

It's a good business decision. Conversely, look at TNA: a company that can't get out of it's own way because they keep signing guys close to the end of their careers or head cases like Jeff Hardy. Now the older guys are leaving. The younger guys are getting older and they're still years away from being stars who can carry the company forward. Nostalgia is kicking TNA's ass right now.
