Speculation around a top WWE star

- One WWE main eventer has been telling people close to him that he's looking to leave the company when his current deal expires. Speculation is that wrestler is World Heavyweight Champion Edge, who has a deal until 2012.

It's said that three or four other WWE wrestlers are looking to leave when their contracts are up. In the past two years or so, names including The Hardys, MVP, Kaval, Jillian Hall, Shad Gaspard and others have all left WWE on their own.

I'd miss Edge but it leaves room for more midcarders to make that step into the main event. I wish Cena was looking to leave WWE soon.

I'd probably look to do the same if I were in their position: promised pushes never occur. You spend at least 75% of your time jobbing out to make the Good Fellas (Cena and gang - you know the names) look better. Plus, to add to all that, you hardly ever get any time off and to yourself.

Because I don't know what WWE is like on the inside, its hard to comment really. Personally, I'd love to work in WWE and probably wouldn't try and leave of my own accord. However, each of thos ewho left of their own accord had their reasons, and I tihnk it was more a case that they didn't get on with members of the roster.

That's possible. There have been plenty of cases of former stars who talk about the constant politicking. Stars from five years ago. Stars from two decades ago. That just turns me away!

I think ultimately the current direction of the company chased them out. Don't blame them one bit, I'd bounce too.

There's not enough money in the world worth putting up with the constant politicking and stress that comes with working for WWE, for me.

^ They might have the history but that wouldn't convince me to stay in that corporate hellhole, especially in this day and age with shit creative freedom and input unless Vince likes the hell out of you.

With all the stories you hear, I'm not even surprised.
