Joystiq is reporting that the rumoured Halo: Combat Evolved remake is
not only real, but they know who's making it and when it will be
released. Allegedly it's being created by TimeShift developers Saber
Interactive and you'll be able to get your hands on it on November 15
this year. A full ten years after the original release on Xbox.
It's
being completely remade, rather than simply upscaled with improved
textures like Beyond Good And Evil HD, with completely new art assets
and "is expected" to suppoer 1080p resolution and stereoscopic 3D. It
will also "likely" feature an online co-op mode.
Joystiq seems
pretty confident in their information, but obviously we can't start
getting properly excited until we hear official confirmation from
Microsoft. Hopefully we hear something soon.
