Something I find hilarious

John stated on Raw that..."after the year his head, he needs this Wrestlemania match."

Now if I recall correctly;
Defeated Batista for the title last year.
Defeated Edge and Big Show for the heavyweight title the year before
Competed in WWE title main event year before
Defeated Shawn for the title the year before
Defeated Triple H for the title the year before
Defeated JBL for the title the year before
Defeated Big show for the US title the year before

He has been involved in the last 7 Wrestlemanias, of which he won has 6. He has been involved with the last 6 world championship main events, and won 5 out of 6 of them.

Can someone justify how he "needs" this wrestlemania moment/title match over guys like Morrison, Sheamus, CM Punk, etc? I know its in character, but his character just comes over as selfish in saying that. If he had said he wants it, fine. But he said he "needs" it.

I don't understand it either. All he does is win, WrestleMania or not. Jeez, McMahon... hop off his balls already!

seriously, would love to see a jack Swagger vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. CM Punk vs. Wade Barret in a 4 way match for the championship...seems kinda awesome, dunno who would be playing face or heel but makes for a good match imo. Add Drew and make it a 5 way??

All those guys have been reduced to mediocre midcarders - including Dolph in the midst of his crappy push.

A main event push for someone now means nothing because it's always a short-term patch for ratings; and it's always boring as hell. Ala Dolph and Del Rio.

Hey! I for one am loving having Del Rio on both shows. He's one of my favorite characters and i love his intro music. makes me wanna dance.

This mainly the guy whole storyline for months seemed to be him overcoming all odds and he will not quit and win the title again. When you look at the other feuds he could of had for Wrestlemania and sadly he is the only one who is in the chamber who actually got into a fight with the Miz latly. We could of seen him vs Punk or him vs Sheamus again. Instead he is gonna be in wrestlemania title match again.

Cena needs another title run just as much as Ric Flair does.

I've been enjoying his ring announcer screaming his name during his entrance more than I have actually been enjoying Del Rio himself. That goofy grin of his makes me want to slap him. lol

I think he wears a lot of makeup.

I find him entertaining as a ring announcer I see him not getting over in wwe after this gimmick really.

Sounds similar to Armando Estrada. He was done after he became an active wrestler.

Same for Shawn Daivari in WWE.

or Joel Gertner in ECW when they made him from a regular announcer to a gimmick heel announcer^

That bugged me as well when Cena said that. Wah, he's had a bad year with Nexus giving him booboos so that means he deserves the match at Mania. It's rather pathetic, I love the guy but he doesn't deserve to win at Mania just because he's had a bad year. I would rather Jomo win the chamber match and face Miz at Mania but the only way younger stars will get a chance is when Cena retires.
