Dave Batista Turned Down Opportunity To Return At WWE Royal Rumble?

Many had anticipated that Dave Batista would eventually make his return to World Wrestling Entertainment eventually after departing from the company after a feud with John Cena.

However, it seems as if Batista remains adamant he will not be returning to professional wrestling anytime soon.

According to sources close to the situation, the former WWE Champion and World Heavyweight Champion was supposedly offered a spot in this year’s Royal Rumble match back in January — similar to Booker T. and Kevin Nash — but declined the invitation from the company.

Sources also note that “The Animal” was in discussions with the company about a return that even offered a match at WrestleMania XXVII.

No further details are known, but it had been speculated for sometime that “The Worldwide Leader in Sports Entertainment” has been pursuing him about a possible return. Batista, who was contemplating a career in mixed martial arts and looking at potential movie and television projects, has yet to really make much significant noise regarding his future.

He revealed after leaving the company that he wasn’t happy with the direction the company was taking the industry, saying that it wasn’t the same product that he loved growing up.

Since it appears Batista is finished making headlines in the Internet wrestling community, he can always lean on his daughter to help generate buzz.

Batista is meh. He was ok. I wouldn't have minded seeing him back for the Rumble, maybe even in a storyline up to WM but beyond that I wouldn't really have wanted him there.
