Latest on Plans for Kong’s WWE Debut, Possible Title Feud & More

WWE has been working on scenarios for Awesome Kong’s debut, which is expected to happen before the next few months are over.

One idea has had Kong debuting on the RAW brand with The Bella Twins in their feud against Gail Kim and Daniel Bryan. This would continue the great series of matches Kong and Kim had in TNA.

On a related note, one of the reasons WWE put the Divas Title on Eve Torres a month or so back is so Kong could challenge it. A Kong vs. Eve feud for the title has been discussed.

Kong vs Eve? i like the sound of that. maybe once Kong gets the belt (you know it's going to happen) they can do a switch like Eve tries to get it back but can't so she tries to guide Gail to the belt

Both ideas are something I would want to see.

I really do hope Kong wins a title this year [and then Gail and her can feud for it].

Gail eventually winning it off of Kong would be great and would be my likely favorite moment of 2011 [only thing that could beat or rival it would be Lita coming back for a good match and or winning the belt or JoMo winning the WHT/WWE title].

I really thought Gail was going to win that battle royal on Raw, face Eve and win, then her and Kong battle it out at WM 27.

I'd like Kong vs Gail better which is what I was predicting. The Bellas get the belt, feud with Gail, Gail gets it and feuds with Kong

Honestly, although it is the smartest move business wise, I'm surprised WWE considered Gail vs Kong matches. They would need to be EPIC and given at least 7 minutes, none of this 2 minute crap.

Honestly I thought when the Bellas became involved, they would win the title off of Eve, Gail would win the title then fued with Kong.

Then there would be no more Divas action on superstars or SD.

Divas get 10 minute match time a week spread out through their 5 hours of programming. It's what WWE think they are worth. They get an extra 5 for those PPV weeks. So if Kong and Gail took most of those minutes they may cut back on the rest.

I have noticed Gail has been a focus/built more strongly lately.

I like both of those scenarios but probably favour more Eve/Kong simply because I think if the Gail/ Kong feud happened in the WWE, everyone would draw comparisons all the time to TNA and probably find it lacking. I also think it would be interesting to see how Eve copes with a big feud and she could come away from it a much improved wrestler.

I actually think the WWE are being smart holding off Kongs debut as there was several times it seemed inevitable she was going to appear whereas now it will be more of a surprise. Happy she's going to be on Raw as well. You can guarantee if she went to SD, Michelle would be the first woman to gain a pinfall on her.

not likely, Michelle has yet to pin Beth cleanly. if Kong was brought it on Smackdown she'd most likely be allied with McCool

i would like Eve to come out on top in this feud with the Bellas so she looks like a fighting champion. way too many diva feuds these days have just been the new champ beats the old champ and then loses to the next challenger. Maryse lost to Eve, Eve lost to Alicia, Alicia lost to Melina who lost to LayCool who lost to Nattie
