Michael Cole as the next Diva's Championship?

Wrestling Observer is reporting that there is speculation that Michael Cole will take the Diva's Championship from Eve Torres and be billed as the Intergender Champion, similar to when Andy Kaufman was billed as Intergender Champion in Memphis during his feud with Jerry Lawler.

WWE hasn't held the divas in high regard since... Well, since Trish, Lita, and Stacy all left. When Cole was interrupting their matches on the mic, what he was really doing was voicing the opinion of WWE's bookers, I believe.

Think about it. How many divas do they have? 20 or so? And they have... one match per night? How long is that match? Ah, yes. Two minutes, tops. They also have a tendency to fire female wrestlers and replace them with models that WWE trains.

Ah, the days of Harvey Wippleman come flooding back to me. So therefore, this can be summed up in a single word: FAIL!!!!

don't start jumping to conclusions. people were going on that Vickie would win the belt last year. it does seem like Cole will get involved in the division but it's probably more likely that he'll be backing a diva and help her get the belt instead of winning it himself. i hope it's not Awesome Kong as she'll be over on her own no matter how she debuts so they should give this to a diva who needs it. i wanna see more of Eve/Alicia
