| As most of you know by now, LeBron James and the Miami Heat were defeated by the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA finals last night. GO MAVS! Anyways, LeBron blamed "God" for the loss. During the post game presser, James said: "The Greater Man upstairs know when it's my time. Right now isn't the time."
Former WWE star JBL posted several Facebook messages last night regarding LeBron's claims. Here is what he said:
"There are reportedly one billion people in this world that are hungry, several wars and people worldwide trying to get over terrible disasters-I don’t believe God cares who won the NBA Finals.
"LeBron James brought his “talents” to South Beach, too bad those “talents” don’t include a heart-or the ability for correct introspection. Now, after the worst final choke in history his answer is that God didn’t want him to win. He tweeted “The greater man upstairs knows when it is my time. Right now isn’t the time.” At least he acknowledged that God is the greater man.
"Does this mean that God is a Maverick fan? Or that God was rooting for Dirk or Jason? Or that God was just rooting against Miami?... Thank God for your health, for your family, for the opportunity-but please don’t thank God anymore for sports victories-I don’t believe he is a sports fan, and I hope he is not because I hope he has bigger issues to work on.
"And, PLEASE whatever you do-don’t blame him for your losses-that is just classless. Now as LeBron stated so emphatically-I’ll go back to my daily life as we commoners tend to do. Which isn’t so bad-and, BTW, I have as many rings as LeBron."

So who's side are you on?
And if you believe in God do you think he cares about sports?

| People use God in their comments all the time in sports. It's just white noise when I hear someone say something like: God gave me the strength to go out there and get the job done. I don't see how God would help anyone in sports, but meh. | |

| Well. the self proclaimed "King" of basketball hasn't done himself any favors for the last year, PR wise. As many have pointed out, he's spent the last year behaving like a Pro Wrestling heel, only for real. He even did a "Mr. McMahon" bit at the press conference by bashing the working class. It's a good thing Montreal doesn't have an NBA team. He'd have shown up and started running down Bret Hart. | |

| I got no problem with what LeBron said and from those comment he didn't blame god to me he was saying that it just wasn't meant to be right now. I think sadly being from Ohio this shit has reached the point of stupidity now. He didn't book the decision program his buddy booked it. He left Cleveland they need to get over it Shaq left for the Lakers and there was not this big of a deal. Dwight Howard wants to leave the Magic and there ain't gonna be that big of a deal. Jordan returned to Washington out of retirement didn't see the whole state of Chicago throw a fit. LeBron never liked any team from Ohio and there is sort of a rift between Cleveland and some of the other cities. I am happy the mavs won because I don't want to see all superstar teams being made in NBA which might be the route gone eventually.
JBL is stupid to try to make a big deal out of this every damn person in sports said stuff like this including many fighters and they weren't blaming god like he is trying to make it out. I mean Wrestlers and everyone praise god or make comments like LeBron to me there been far worse said in blaming so to me what he said don't even come close to blaming him. To me I think people need to get over the decision and him going to the heat a majority of the fans are pissed cause it means that there team will need a lot of luck to win a title because the Heat will contend for a long time unless a hard cap is put in place in which they might lose Chris Bosh by trading him.

| Most people get on his case because they're waiting for him to live up to the hype in the big moments. Plus, he isn't very good at articulating his words; so whenever he says something he looks like a pompous dick. He's got a shitload of talent, but he has failed more times than not, in the clutch. | |

| Yeah, it's a combination of overhype and being a PR nightmare. It's like you can depend on him to say the wrong thing in any situation.
The issue wasn't switching teams, but doing an hour long TV special to announce it, followed by the big party celebrating an NBA Championship before the season even started.
And, when you're spending the season being criticized by legends like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Charles Barkley, maybe you should listen. Jordan's immediate reaction to The Decision was to say that he would never have called up Magic Johnson and Larry Bird and said "Hey, let's try to get on the same team." They wanted to win Championships by competing with each other, not taking shortcuts.
