Creative Idea Pitched For Zack Ryder - New Faction?

-- There was an idea pitched at a creative meeting several weeks ago where someone suggested that they put Zack Ryder in a new faction alongside WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty. This all depends on CM Punk's WWE future and whether or not they decide to kill off the Nexus once/if he leaves.

WTF?

That really makes no sense why the fuck would Ryder be associated with Mike/David?

The only reason I can think of would be to befriend them yet later on beat them with a partner [Hawkins?] for the tag belts.

But I thought Ryder was turning face? My idea is very heel like.

Hopefully, they throw him a bone.

I liked the idea of him and Hawkins reuniting and actually being a tag team who feels like a tag team and isn't just thrown together like most of them. The only recent thrown together tag team which has worked has been Miz/Morrison.

Ryder's not capable of leading a faction and he doesn't need or belong in one. Push him solo, that's good enough.

well they need to rebuild the tag division and Ryder is over so any partner of his could be over as well. pair him with Evan Bourne to challenge the Nexus guys. that'd be something
