CM Punk Lists Beth & Natalya as Talents WWE Isn’t Doing Enough With

Outgoing WWE star, CM Punk, who will leave the company following this Sunday’s Money in the Bank pay per view, talked about his departure and frustration with WWE in a new interview with GQ.com, the online counterpart of the popular men’s magazine.

When asked how WWE could be better, Punk said: “I don’t think we should be looking externally for talent; there’s plenty of guys and girls in house that are super-talented that we don’t do enough with.”

Punk specifically mentions Divas Beth Phoenix and Natalya. He says:

A guy like Evan Bourne, who’s a fantastic high-flyer, does the most fantastic stuff on the roster. I could go on: Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Beth Phoenix. There’s Nattie Neidhart, Tyson Kidd. Tyson Kidd is a fantastic wrestler, maybe not the greatest promo. So let’s help him. Let’s teach him to get better instead of signing someone from Europe who failed at Euro football. I could talk about this forever.

Those are the two Divas I've thought needed a good storyline and push. It's nice to have Trish and now Punk backing me up. smile

About Kidd... Y'know, there used to be a way to get a talented wrester who lacked mic skills help... Managers. Say, you've got an attractive girl on the roster and she's not competing for titles at the moment... Here's an idea, make them a manager or valet and use them to help get some guys over while gettng themselves over, as well.

But, that would never work for someone who might be your Women's Champion, right? Well, aside from Moolah, Sherri, Chyna, Lita, Trish, Molly, etc...

Hell, that's how the Lita-Trish-Molly rivalry started. Lita and Trish had their rival tag teams, and would interfere in matches, and go at it, themselves. Then, the Hollys brought in their cousin Molly to counter Trish and Lita and even the odds against T&A and the Hardyz. So, they already had an established three way rivalry when they started competing with each other for the Women's Championship.

The Tag Team Division was used to set up the three conerstones of the Women's Division they were wanting to build. And, it paid off.

Yeah I think that all of the people Punk named should be pushed.

Dolph is already the US champ but him and Kofi should probably make the permanent move up to world title contender if not the US/IC title contender and Bourne really needs to be elevated to US champ or IC champ.

Kidd should really just re team with Smith and go for the tag titles as a heel Hart Dynasty.

And Beth should be the next Diva's Champ as a heel and should be defending against people like Gail and Natalya.

I don't think Dolph and Kofi should progress any further than they are. Hart Dynasty should definitely reunite and really enjoy them as a tag team and they are an actual tag team rather than two singles wrestlers randomly paired up .

Evan Bourne meh maybe an IC title in his future. Main priorities to get up go main event level are Swagger and Rhodes as far as I'm concerned.

And, using the old Diva as manager or valet formula that's worked wel in the past to get both tag teams and Divas over... Wouldn't it be nice if there was a Diva there with established ties to the Harts? Oh wait, there is...

Turning Kidd face would be easy. In a good tag team division, the whole face/heel thing doesn't mean as much, anyway. Take the whole series with the Hardyz, Dudleys, and Edge & Christian. You had an official face, tweener, and heel team, but they all got massive pops when they were in the ring together in any combination, especially all three, just because the matches were so great it didn't matter to the fans who won. It was the same situation later with Edge & Mysterio, Angle & Benoit, and Los Guerreros.

Of course, I never quite figured out how the Hardyz were faces when they never won a match without Lita intefering to help them win it. It made JR inconsistant when Lita was a heel helping Edge. He'd damn her to hell for doing the exact same things he called "great teamwork" when she did them for the Hardyz. smile

IMO, Dolph is doing great; but Kofi... this guy has taken about ten steps backward. He's just very stale.

IMO, Dolph is doing great; but Kofi... this guy has taken about ten steps backward. He's just very stale.

I like Dolph but I just can't see him progressing much further than where he is now. I only really liked Kofi when he was feuding with Randy and he actually showed some fire rather than just a bland babyface. They'll keeP him around for as long as the kids keep buying his merchandise .

Dolph needs to drop that US title in a good feud and him and Kofi should move up to the main event. or else go back to Smackdown where at least Dolph had a shot in the main event.

i think Nattie should go back to the Hart Dynasty. heel or face it would be a good dynamic. i've been saying this for a while but pair Rosa with Del Rio. they were hinting at something back in December and his mic skills aren't the best while hers are excellent. Maryse should also be paired with someone once NXT is over, unless she's hosting next season as well. i want Gail and Evan to be team though Gail should still compete in the women's division.
