Divas React to Gail & Melina’s WWE Departures

For Melina's "bad attitude" she's sure got a lot of support from the women backstage

They're all still employed by WWE and thus they cant really say "ding dong the bitch is gone" even if that's how they truly feel lol Unless of course they wanna join Melina on the unemployment line.

If your boss is monitoring your Twitter account i highly doubt you'd say "fuck that bitch i'm glad she's fired" even if the person fired was your greatest enemy...gotta keep up a good impression to the fans.

Notice you don't see any support from Melina's established enemies like Kelly, Layla, Michelle, or the women wrestlers now at Impact that were her enemies (the ones who used to be at WWE plus Angelina Love). Notice Beth and Nattie aren't saying anything, either.

Here's an idea to create two locker rooms with harmony: Melina goes to Impact, and the Bellas, Maryse, Eve, and Rosa join her there. Meanwhile (again to create harmony in the locker room), all those Impact Knockouts who were just so mean to Melina like Mickie, Tara, Angelina, and Brooke go back to WWE (or for the first time in Angelina's case). They'd have to bring Winter too, since she's a friend of Trish's and Mickie's.

Win win?

I think that would be a Lose/Win situation. The women that you suggested going to Impact would be a huge fail. They either need to stay in WWE or just quit wrestling.

I was on the Shimmer forum this morning and it is a resounding not really as to wanting to see Gail and Melina in Shimmer. There is some support for them, but overall, people don't want them to take spot of the independent/international women.

Melina would just hold everyone down, like she was doing in WWE before she was stopped being used on tv

you forgot....'within the guidelines of WWE'...Numerous superstars have gotten in trouble for complaining about things on their Twitter. So no, they cant do whatever they want...not if they want to stay employed with the WWE.

Ive seen pics of divas acting like they are having a blast, even Maria and Melina looked like friends, but when Maria did a shoot, she told how she REALLY felt, cause she no longer had a risk of getting fired, cause she was already let go. THATS the point, they aren't gonna be a bitch because it makes them look bad and wwe looks bad, they cant do that shit. Miss Tessmacher was one of my favorites regarding that. When she left WWE, there were a lot of reports attributing it to Melina. She denied Melina was the reason... and then started trash talking her, about the problems she caused her, Kelly, and Layla, etc. It was all: No, no, I was one of the people who got along with her, but she was a total bitch who did this, this, and this... Yeah, sure you got along with her.

And again, notice Kelly's and Layla's silence during this.

I've actually seen with my own eyes the real Melina, how she interacts with her fans, and how she interacted with her former co workers. She likes to have fun and stay positive. She's done so much for her fans with her youtube vids, all her tweeting, her live chats, and her new site.

So if you want to continue on hating her for every single thing you read or hear then go ahead, but it's not gonna make you a better person and it won't make your life any better either. Be positive and think positive. It'll make you feel a whole lot better.

WWE kinda does say that considering negative tweets are met with harsh punishments. It basically goes without saying "be nice to this superstar, regardless of personal feelings, or face consequences" so thus many people would choose to be quiet. Not out of respect for Melina, or any superstar, but likely out of fear of being punished or fired.

Secondly, If you think Melina's attitude is something that has been dicussed only from her WWE co-workers is pretty laughable.

Roni Jonah has expressed having issues workng with Melina, She never worked with Angel Williams but they crossed paths in the past when Angel was a high profiled name and Kyra was a nobody.

You are basicaly telling me that Melina is a replica of Mother Theresa and does no wrong.

Melina isnt going to come over to you or anyfan and say "Last night i got into this fight with Maria backstage, she's such a bitch" . How will her fans view her if she says something like that. They either grow hatred on maria and start un needed fights.

Also, it is fact...no one ever tells 100% of the truth to someone they know. She's not going to ALWAYS tel you what goes on backstage.

Again, it's Melina's own words and actions that have gotten her hostility.

Now, in the interests of fairness, it's entirely possible that Melina has been a sweet, innocent, little angel for the last seven years, and that Trish Stratus, Lita, Mickie James, Angelina Love, Maria, Brooke Adams, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, Layla, Sean Morley, Sean Waltman, Batista (who's her friend, mind you), Brian Kendrick, Paul London, etc, are all horrible people who have ganged up on her because they're so jealous of her supreme greatness.

about this latest round, over Trish "stealing" her "spot" at Wrestlemania... The only reason the Wrestlemania match existed was because Trish was there promoting Tough Enough. There wouldn't have been a Diva match without Trish Stratus. There was no spot on the card for Trish to steal, since the spot was created specifically for her.

And, how did Trish get in the position where a spot at Wrestlemania would be created for her five years after she retired? Simple. She's the one who proved to management time and again that you could put the women on the upper card, that you could get the fans to care.

When did interest in the women decline? After Trish retired. And who had been given Trish's spot, who was the top woman who presided over the decline, who was the defending Champion the first and final time it was defended at Wrestlemania after Trish's retirement?

Answer: Melina.

Oh, I know the excuses... But, she was a heel, and was working with a face who'd just posed for Playboy and who sucked in the ring. How could she possibly get over with the crowds?

Answer: Trish vs Christy, Wrestlemania 21. Trish was heel, with an even worse opponent who'd just posed for Playboy than Ashley, and came out of it more over with the fans than ever.

The hard cold truth is Melina was given Trish's spot. That she failed to run with it was hardly Trish's fault. Were the company's expectations that they could plug Melina into Trish's spot and have her do as well as Trish did, be as over as Trish was, too high? Yes, they were. But, again, hardly Trish's fault.

But, it does prove that, despite her own firm belief otherwise, she wasn't more deserving that Trish. What reasonable argument is there that they should have booted Trish from a Wrestlemania match that was created specifically for her and put Melina in?

Look, I'm a huge Mickie James mark, but I'll admit she didn't carry the ball as well or as far as Trish did. But, notice that Mickie isn't bitter towards Trish about it. They're still close friends.

Again, if it were just an isolated incident or two, or just one or two people talking about them, OK. But, again, this has been a constant pattern for seven years. When it happens that many times over that long a period with that many people on record about it, including her and her boyfriend's own tweets, plus the fact that Batista is one of her best friends and is the source for one of the main stories...

I used to defend Melina back in 2005. Well, those are just unconfirmed backstage reports, I said. OK, maybe they did something they shouldn't have done, but they're new there, and everybody makes mistakes... Then, those tweets attacking Mickie and Angelina came out. I couldn't defend that, but figured maybe it was personality clashes, a bad day or two, something she'd grow out of. She had talent, and I didn't want that to go to waste.

Six years later, she clearly hadn't grown out of it, and it was clear that she and Morrison were Sunny and Candido V2. But, even a couple of weeks ago on these very boards, I wrote that I thought she'd taken some criticisms to heart, and was improving her attitude and professionalism. Then her boyfriend came back and proved me wrong. Nope, it's still the same old Melina and Morrison.

I really do want her to grow up, but she's clearly not going to do it while she and Morrison are working together, and neither will he.

oh and just to add don't be spouting bull about you being different then us because you 'respect' Michelle....i am pretty sure your one of the ones always bringing up her push being related to Taker rather then her persistance....that doesnt sound like respect....Not to mention no one on this forum denies nor tries to shoot down Melina's accomplishments...so thats bull too

Thanks. It's not that I don't like Melina as a performer. But, her backstage antics have just kept overshadowing her skills. Maybe not working with her boyfriend will help. They do seem to bring out the worst in each other.
