Final 'Harry Potter' film climbs to third place on the all-time worldwide chart Harry_potter_deathly_hallows_25_320

http://insidemovies.ew.com/2011/08/08/box-office-harry-potter-deathly-hallows-worldwide/

If it weren’t for that Muggle director James Cameron, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2 would now be the highest-grossing movie ever at the worldwide box office. Instead, it’ll have to settle for third. Buoyed by a potent opening in China, Deathly Hallows passed The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King on Sunday to land in third place on the all-time global chart. In 26 days, the final Potter entry has so far conjured an incredible $1.13 billion worldwide. However, it’s highly unlikely that Deathly Hallows will ever reach the James Cameron stratosphere that includes Avatar ($2.78 billion) and Titanic ($1.84 billion).

Glad it is # 3 but wtf with Avatar getting that much money..

It was not that great at all.

I've not seen Avatar, so I can't comment on that front, but HP7.2 was much better than Titanic in my opinion, so I'm a little surprised to hear it didn't out rank it.

Titanic was far ahead of it's time. It was the first real movie to be over computerized and the special effects in that movie was OMG WOW compared to now.

Titanic was a joke, I luagh at the end everytime because it's so damn stupid. You see Jack and Rose floating on one piece of wood and Jack let's go and not more than a meter away their is another piece of wood floating. Why not grab onto that stupid?

Avatar? Doesn't interest me.

Harry Potter? Stopped at 2 or 3 don't remember so won't bother watching this.

Meh i'm seriously not a movie person it seems.

Plus Your a DUDE VLG....most dudes aren't that interested in Titanic to begin with.

Jack let go not because he couldn't hold on, but because he was gonna die.

And Kev, my gender has no effect on my opinions. If somethings good, I'll like it, if its not, I won't. Titanic wasn't good.

First off Jack died because he was trying to keep Rose out of the cold water. If he wasnt in the cold water all that time, maybe he would have lived. (but he obviously wasnt going to since it was based off of a true story, but if it wasn't Jack should just kept out of the water like Rose did, but he didn't so he died)

Secondly YES your gender has a WHOLE lot of effect on your opinion. Action films cast hot guys in a there for a reason. To give women a reason to go and watch it. If that wasn't the case, not many women would easily go and pick action movie.

And if you could actually find 10 straight guys who WILLINGFULLY went and watch Eat Pray Love, then you've proven your point. Because believe it or not, your gender does have an effect on your opinion of of a movie.

My gender has never affected my opinion of anything else, I don't see why movies should be different.

Kevin stop judging films when you only saw like 2 out of 8 10 years ago. The style was completely different, so basing your dislike of it on number 1 or 2 is pointless. If you weren't a fan back then, theres no point watching it now because its centred for young people.
