Del Rio as world champion your thoughts?

I think he is gonna fail pretty quick as champion this go around and sadly it's wwe fault. Why they would have him beat punk makes zero sense. Punk is been the main storyline people who use to watch wwe been reutrning to see and The angle with Kevin Nash and Triple H will be bigger then anything he can do with the belt. Honestly it wouldn't shock me if Cena wins the title at the next ppv based on the fact that you got a world champion who ain't gonna be close to memorable on this first run. I mean you got McMahon who feels the Miz is the top heel guy after his promo on RAW Vince has mainly said that's what he wants out of his superstars after the subway work and all the time he puts into making the wwe better. Best Case Scenario would be he is like Rey or Eddie who they fault failed in the first run with the title and did amazing with the second run of it. I use to like Del Rio but latly the character is becoming very bland and needs to step up with a good change in the gimmick. I mean mainly his first move as world champion is the same first move he had entering the wwe seems like this character has ran it's course so far with me.

I think they should have waited a month or two before giving him the belt.

It's this type of hot potato game which has made so many guys 4, 5 time champions in like a year.

Where Lawler was upset with miz for cashing in money in the bank and claimed he didn't earn the title.

except now it will be cena playing the lawler role and del rio as the miz.


he might hold on to it for 3 months with 2 unclean victories over cena and punk. With Nash making punk lose his rematch possibly. Ricardo helping del rio beat cena and then cena will win in like cage ppv or something.

I think the timing was wrong. There were rumours that Del Rio was gonna be given the strap so that there was a Mexican champion on the Mexican tour but it cut all CM Punk's momentum before it had peaked. Del Rio is likely to lose it to Cena or Punk after the Mexican tour.


And Eddie only had one run CP, he would've had a second reign as World Champ but he died a few days before he was set to win it.

Edge, both times. Punk, both times - esp the second. Swagger, Miz, and now ADR.

They really should've put the belt on him at Mania when he had that great push going, but I'm very happy he's champion. I think he'll do well, hopefully he doesn't drop the belt back to Cena in a couple months. I didn't expect him to cash in on Punk but it made sense because of the Triple H/Punk storyline and it gave him more heat since Punk is well liked

I get the feeling they would have if there wasn't uncertainty over Edge's career. If there wasn't a chance of Edge retiring it wouldn't surprise me if Del Rio went over Edge for the championship.

i cannot possibly be any happier with the WWE champion. He makes me want to watch Raw every week. I love Del Rio!!!! I want a Delr Rio t-shirt. I havent been this excited about a champion since Triple H.

He does nothing for me, I think his finisher is kinda lame and I hate his granny panty trunks.

His music always makes me get up and dance...always. I bet if i heard that in the grocery store you'd see me dancing down the aisles
