WWE Wants More Cruiserweights?

Subject: WWE Wants More Cruiserweights? Tue 23 Aug 2011, 4:15 am

- There has been discussion within WWE lately about the company looking to see what cruiserweight or light heavyweight talents are out there and signing them to developmental deals.

It hasn't been confirmed yet that WWE will be doing a full-fledged revival of the cruiserweight division but they are interested in bringing talents who fit that bill. The idea is that cruiserweights will give guys like Evan Bourne or Sin Cara someone to work with and would add a quality of wrestling to WWE's undercard.

This goes back to Triple H and changes he is making as he slowly takes over day-to-day control of the company.

OMG don't get my hopes up wwe of reviving the CW title!

I so want that to happen.

I would to HHH [for a little while] if he did that.

I really think they could have a solid CW division now if they just made the belt interpromotional and pushed the right men but bringing in other talented guys certainly won't hurt.

Definately all for it. Cruiserweights were the main thing worth watching at WCW in it's decline, and were great for SD during it's best period.

This cool as long as I don't have to watch them jobbing out to people like Khali, I hate those "David vs Goliath" type squash matches.

Bring in/Bring Back(or Atleast try):

El Generico,
Adam Cole,
Kyle O'riley,
Jay Lethal,
Bravado Brother (Harlem and Lance),
Paul London,
Tommaso Ciampa,
Jay Lethal,
Andy Ridge.

Now, I would not use all for the brands, these are guys I would make a 10-12 man roster out of, or just make a 3rd brand or sumtin out of ALL, I just would love to see the CW Division be reborn, nothing like some good lightweight, flying, hardcore action :D

I agree, Paul London is someone who WWE dropped the ball with, he needs to be brought back pronto.

I must say, Triple H is impressing me. I get the feeling he is going to turn out to be one of the best things that has ever happened to WWE.

The Divas Title [or at least the only belt for the women] is not going away anytime soon [and I don't think ever again].

Since they retired the Women's Title they should bring back the CW Title since it went away and brought about the Divas Title.

Sadly I wish it was back to being the CW Title and Women's Title but whatever can't win them all.

I think it is funny that this is being made public right after TNA has made such huge progress in their X-Division stuff. I like the Cruiserwieght style of wrestling a lot. I think it, along with tag team, is the most entertaining to watch. I really hope that if they bring it back, it gets solid air time.
