Indy Wrestling next Biggest Wrestling Sensation?

So the big Question. Mia Yim or Athena?

These two are arguably the two most talked about new comers in wrestling in a VERY long time. Both women will have an amazing career in wrestling. But the question is. Who is your favorite?

Thus far, both women have made appearances on Shimmer and are creating even more buzz.

First off we have Mia Yim, she has a lot more advantages than Athena at this point. Her name is more known. She has LOADS of experience when it comes to opponents. She wrestled for REINA. She has wrestled some of the best women in the biz now. Sara del Rey, Mickie James, Daizee Haze, Kacee Carlisle, Sassy Stephie, Roxxie Cotton, Allison DangerMsChif and Melissa Coates just to name a few. She has amazing technical, Submission and highflying abilities. Her background in MMA shows in how stiff she works at times.

So is Mia Yim the new It girl?

Well Athena may have something to say about that. A student of Booker T’s Wrestling school PWA. Athena hasn’t had the glorious hype like Mia Yim or the long list of polished wrestlers to work with. But despite all this setbacks, she is really creating buzz on the wrestling scene. Athena is known for showing great power. Many might say she shows shades of jacqueline, but I see a lot of Sara del Rey in her. The ability to have power but also with a strong technical ability to back it up. Espeically for someone with her tiny size. Sure she doesn’t have the charisma of Sara del rey, she is still new to the biz. Her list of opponents isn’t as impressive as Mia, with Jessica James, Tenille, Rachel Summerlyn, Nevaeh, Jessie McKay, Foxy Roxy and many other. She can say she went toe to toe with the wrestling beast that is Cheerleader Melissa.

So does the powerful Athena proclaim the spot of the New “It” girl?

Who will be the next person to call themselves the "Queen of Wrestling" when Sara del Rey, Cheerleader Melissa, Mercedes Martinez, LuFisto, Madison Eagles and MsChif finally hang up their boots?

I mean these ladies stepped in when April Hunter left her mark. Who will be the next one to step in?

Athena is going to change women's wrestling! She has only been wrestling for three years, but is one of the best women I have seen. I have seen a lot of her matches online, but seeing her in person is completely different. She has such an incredible way to work the crowd. She is such a natural heel. As far as her in ring ability, she is amazing.....consistently. At the last set of Shimmer tapings, she had incredible matches with Jessie McKay and Cheerleader Melissa. She is such a strong technical wrestler.

I really like Mia Yim as well. I think she is a really good athlete and has a lot of charisma. She does have a lot more exposure especially with her work in ROH and REINA. However, having seen her in person as well, I think Mia tends to have moments of greatness instead of consistent greatness. I had noticed it in some of her videos, but it really hit me in person. She does some really great things one moment and then looks distracted or bored.
