Exclusive: Changes To FCW Developmental System Coming Empty

Source: Wrestlezone

I have learned that some changes are in order for Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). FCW is the developmental territory for WWE that prepares and evaluates talent to move up to the main roster of RAW, Smackdown, Superstars and NXT.

After speaking with sources, I have learned that the FCW roster will eventually be divided into thirds. The roster will be given 3 tiers, similar to minor league baseball systems where there is a single-A, double-A and triple-A level of competition. This would be implemented in FCW's roster where the triple A tier of talent would be considered the best talent that is a step away from moving up to the main roster.

From what I am hearing, each level will not be forced to only compete against their own. Meaning, a mid level tier performer could still have matches in FCW with a top level. As one source told me, the separation on the roster of the different levels would be "for evaluation, recognition and motivation."

Another change in the FCW operation is that of its overall television production. The feeling is that those who work as various production jobs such as cameras or audio that work RAW and Smackdown will eventually be gone. Whether through retirement or just moving on, WWE wants to make sure that FCW is not just a developmental territory for in-ring performers but for production as well.

Having guys learn how to film, produce or direct and wrestling show in FCW which prepares them for being able to be called upon for the big shows like RAW, Smackdown and PPV's.

I will continue to follow this story to bring you more details of changes that are planned to happen in FCW.

That is interesting.

I wish they would release who is in what tier but that likely won't happen..

I really want Naomi and Tyler Black to be in the 3rd Tier since they need to come to the main roster asap.
