Why don't murderers just burn trhe body and individually throw the ashes into differemt parts of the ocean?

It's pretty easy. I've seen them build houses, not hard to hide a bod in the foundation and stuff.

Or burn the body then cement it :D

Don't forget to salt the bones before you burn them, you don't want them coming back in spirit form to try and get revenge on your ass.

The problem with cementing is you can still get DNA samples.

So? If your are buidling a pool and is about to pour...just toss the body in there and your good to go. Could by you lots of time and no one would know unless you say something.

As someone who watches a shitload of Discovery I.D.

Unless you have a machine built for cremation at your disposal, you will still have human remains; i can't tell you how many times on various true crime shows that I've seen people try to burn a body only to end up with a charred out human who still leaves behind enough evidence to convict them. On Deadly Women, I saw a teenage girl who had that same idea; she killed someone with a friend, they burned the body and were surprised that it didn't turn to ashes, so they enlisted a third friend to dismember the body and they scattered the remains. They were caught when a one of the trio felt guilty about his part in the crime and confessed.


Heck, even with the machine, there's still a good chance you'll leave behind evidence proving that you were culpable when it comes to that person's death. I once saw a special on Discovery I.D when someone shot a guy and used a machine normally used for cremating animal corpses to burn his victim and get rid of the ashes. However, he was seen on video with the body and there were human remains that were traced back to the victim through DNA as well as traces of the bullet, and he was seen shooting the victim by 2 witnesses.

However, even if you are successful in getting rid of the body and leaving little or no evidence behind; depending on you you are and your link to the victim, there's a good chance you'll remain under a cloud of suspicion for the rest of your days. Because if Person B is in a bitter custody dispute their ex Person A, and Person A vanished into thin air and the last place they told people they was going was Person B's place to pick up the kids; naturally a lot of people or going to think that Person B had something to do with Person A's disappearance
