TNA wrestler Jeff Hardy began serving his 10-day jail sentence on Monday, TMZ reports. Assuming Hardy serves the full sentence, he will be released from jail on October 13.
As part of a plea agreement approved by a North Carolina judge last month, Hardy was sentenced to ten days in jail, over two years of probation, and charged $100,000. Hardy must also complete a drug rehabilitation program.
Hardy, whose jail time stems from a September 2009 arrest on drug possession charges, avoided spending over two years in prison due to the plea agreement.
TMZ reports Hardy wanted to get his jail time over with as quickly as possible. He checked in early Monday morning, about four weeks after being convicted of two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of conspiracy to traffic.
