Raw TV Ratings Report for Monday's Halloween Raw Empty

WWE Raw on Monday, October 31 scored a 3.10 rating, down from a 3.31 rating last week following the Vengeance PPV. The ratings picture was very similar to the Oct. 17 episode two weeks ago leading into the Vengeance PPV.

-- Raw averaged 4.49 million viewers off an average of 4.61 million first hour viewers and an average of 4.37 million second hour viewers. It was the fewest number of second hour viewers in six weeks dating back to September.

Raw's overall viewership was just ahead of an average of 4.48 million viewers two weeks ago leading into the Vengeance PPV. The hours were nearly identical, except flipped. The first hour averaged 4.32 million viewers and increased to an average of 4.64 million viewers.

Prior to this summer, WWE rarely had an issue with the audience dropping off in the second hour, but it marks seven out of the last ten weeks where second hour viewership has been lower than in the first hour.

-- Looking at the demographics, Raw actually scored higher ratings among key males 18-34 and males 18-49 compared to last week's show. The biggest drop-off was among younger viewers (males 12-17 & males 12-34), which WWE tried to prevent by having The Muppets appear on the show to offset trick-or-treating on Halloween night.

WWE did gain female viewers, though. The overall rating may have been added by a strong w18-49 rating (about a ten percent increase vs. Raw's norm in the demo). Raw's first hour was #2 among w18-49 behind Monday Night Football.

-- On cable TV Monday, Raw was #2 behind football in total viewers and adult males & male teen viewers. During the second hour, Raw's demo ratings among adult males dropped off from the second hour, which ties in with the decline in average viewership during the second hour.

Caldwell's Analysis: The Rock's brief return at the start of the show appeared to help offset the loss in younger viewers due to Halloween Night, but WWE lacking a hook for the second hour (basic-level promotion for a Cena vs. Miz main event that started during the over-run) didn't help matters.

Strangely the most entertaining thing about Raw was The Muppets. Kermit telling Dolph to take his mother (Vickie) and get off stage was fucking hilarious. lmao

Raw was decent this Monday but I was preoccupied with carving pumpkins, eating, and Halloween in general..
