Smackdown SPOILERS 11/11
- Smackdown started with Randy Orton coming to the ring. He said that when Teddy Long asked him to be a team captain at Survivor Series, he told him he doesn't lead well and he doesn't follow well. He got around to saying that he was going to be captain. Couldn't quite hear him clearly. I thought this was a little bit of a problem all night. Some promos were quite hard to hear with crowd noise. Wade Barrett came out (Barrett is from England, so some good pro-Barrett chants throughout the show). He said that he was the other team captain and that he was a natural born leader. He is going to show that he is ready to be a World champion.
Christian came out next wearing a neck brace. He said this was because he got punched by Show last week. Christian said Barrett is a leader and he will follow him. They decided to send a message. The heels attacked Orton here before Sheamus came out and ripped the neck brace off Christian and the heels retreated. Teddy Long came out and made Sheamus vs. Christian coming up next and Orton vs. Barrett in the main event. Classic Teddy Long, booking the show on the fly and not having his main event planned.
(1) Sheamus beat Christian in the opening contest with the Celtic Cross. This was a really enjoyable match, but not too many chants.
- Bryan was backstage talking with A.J. and Kaitlyn when Mark Henry came in. He said that Bryan shouldn't have tried to cash in MITB last week. Bryan stood up to him and Henry admitted that he had guts, but they would be spilled later tonight.
- Teddy Long was backstage with Charles Robinson then Aksana came in. They talked trash, which I couldn't hear properly and then Alicia Fox came in. Aksana seemed pleased and said that she was happy because Teddy Long had got Rhianna for her. This really happened.
(2) Ted DiBiase squashed Jinder Mahal, who didn't have an entrance. This didn't last more than a minute.
(3) World Hvt. champion Mark Henry defeated Daniel Bryan after a Worlds Strongest Slam. After the match, Henry hit him with two or three more, then got a chair and put Bryan's leg in it. Show came out and made the save and Henry went to hit him with the chair. Show dodged and Henry hit Bryan on the back with it. Show jumped on the apron and then punched it and Henry dropped the chair. Henry left, leaving Show in the ring. Big Show got the biggest pop of the night by far.
(4) Big Show squashed three unknown wrestler. Henry stayed on the ramp and cut a promo afterwards. He said that he had impressed everyone including Show. He slipped up on one of his lines. He reset himself as the crowd cheered and he said "Enjoy it, it didn't happen." This will clearly be cut.
Natalya came out dark to be on commentary for the next match, which was Alicia Fox vs. Tamina.
(5) Alicia Fox beat Tamina. Alicia won this one much to the delight of absolutely no one.
Hunico and Epico came out accompanied by Primo in what appears to be WWE's version of Mexican America.
(6) Hunico & Epico defeated The Usos. After the match, there was a beat down and a promo in Spanish, which received the standard "What?" chants.
(7) Wade Barrett defeated Randy Orton in the main event. Barrett won after he got Orton in the eye with a thumb and then rolled him up. Another enjoyable match. Some really good back and forth chants of "Let's go Barrett / Barrett sucks." Most of the chants focussed on him rather than Orton.
Post-Smackdown
After Smackdown went off air, Teddy Long came out and said that our main event would be a six-man tag match. Orton, Show, and Sheamus took on Henry, Rhodes, and Christian. Sheamus commented on my sign, which said 'Barrett is Boss' - this is a way of saying great in Liverpool for those who don't know.

Dark Match: Big Show & Randy Orton & Sheamus beat Mark Henry & Cody Rhodes & Christian with Booker T as special referee. Henry left and Show chased him to the back. Christian and Sheamus did the same, leaving Rhodes to take a RKO for the win for Orton's team. Also, Booker got a good reception as ref.
After that, Booker T kept Orton back. Booker did a Spinaroonie and Orton did one, too, followed by a jump. Orton seemed to enjoy it and was a lot more smiley, which endeared him to crowd more. Henry then came out and got in the center of the ring. He attempted a Spinaroonie and when he got up, Orton RKO'd him. Yes, the monster heel champion came out to do a Spinaroonie. It was funny and got the crowd laughing. Orton went round the whole of ringside afterwards and got photos with some fans.
