Divas Champion Beth Phoenix tweeted a picture of herself with Nakano (see left), writing: “Myself and the legendary Bull Nakano…one of my greatest female inspirations. Loving Japan.” Nakano unofficially retired in 1996 but announced earlier this year that she’ll be holding a retirement show in January 2012. Bull won’t be wrestling due to knee surgery, however, will be appearing in some fashion. Nakano recently got married. Thoughts: With Nakano backstage, hopefully this could be the start of a working relationship. Perhaps they might induct Bull into the Hall of Fame one year. | |

| I was one of the biggest fans of Bull Nakano back in the day. Her and Akira Hokuto were two of the best things that happened to American's women's wresting in the early 90's.
I was listening to the latest Ringbelle's Online podcast, featuring Mike Quackenbush. He was talking about Joshi Mania. Evidently when Joshia Mania was being planned in the early phase, there was a possibility of Bull Nakano coming out of retirement for it. That has ended up not happening, but it would have been INCREDIBLE.

| That is awesome.
Shame she can't wrestle because I know Beth would LOVE to have an awesome match with her!
I also hope this leads to wwe eventually inducting her into the HOF although I would expect other women to go in before her; it should still be done eventually. | |
