NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood held a free TV Taping last night in Glendale, CA, accepting toys for Toys for Tots in exchange for admission. The promotion collected over 400 new toys to be donated to needy families and had a little over 500 in attendance at the taping, which saw the following results:
*Colt Cabana defeated Eric Cross.
*Jarek Matthews defeated Ricky Mandel. Hector Canales stole Ricky's mirror image belt.
*Joey Kaos defeated Freddy Bravo.
*Kitana Vera & Terra Calloway defeated Lucky O'Shea & New York Nikky, accompanied by Joey Ryan.
*NWA champion Adam Pearce defeated Shaun Ricker, who was managed by Percy Pringle.
*Terry defeated Mikey O'Shea.
*They did an angle where Peter Avalon refused to sign a contract to face Ryan Taylor in a steel cage match, which led to Peter and Ray Rosas putting Taylor through the table set up for the signing.
*Los Banditos and The Tribe battled to a no contest.
*Nick Madrid defeated Jarek Matthews and Sergio Vega in a Three Way.
*K-Man defeated Eric Cross.
*There was an angle where Family Stone offered a thousand dollars to anyone who could slam Eric Watts of Tough Enough fame. They picked what was described as a hipster out of the crowd. Watts ends up powerbombing him. Adam Pearce and Colt Cabana hit the ring for the save.
*Scorpio Sky defeated Johnny Yuma for the NWA International TV title.
*Jay Garland & Mario Banks defeated Young Hollywood, Brandon Parker & Todd Chandler.
*Willie Mack defeated Shaun Ricker (with Percy Pringle) in what was said to have been a brutal looking bout. Mack was legitimately KO'd on a belly to back suplex and was taken to the hospital to be checked out after the match.
*Ray Rosas defeated SoCal Crazy.
*Colt Cabana defeated Cedric the Hitman, but was attacked by Family Stone. Adam Pearce made the save.
*Disco Machine, getting his first win in the promotion, defeated Ricky Mandel. The storyline was that Mandel was lost without his mirror belt as Hector Canales came out with it gloating. A number of the babyfaces hit the ring and did a disco dance with Machine to celebrate his win.
*Peter Avalon defeated Ryan Taylor in a No DQ match that featured a brawl all over the studio. Ray Rosas was handcuffed to Terex, Taylor's picked enforcer, with the storyline being that Dave Marquez made that rule as punishment for Taylor refusing to sign the cage stip as a way to prevent interference. This match got over huge live.
*M&O, with GQ Money, defeated Nick Madrid and Joey Kaos.
Notes: The promotion did have to turn away fans due to running out of room...Former WWE and TNA star Shelly Martinez and comedian Brody Stevens were in attendance.
