| I wonder why there's only five in each match as opposed to the usual six.
On the other hand, I'm glad they're not using that extra slot to fill in with some random dude who hasn't been a threat to the title at all.

| Silva, why shouldn't Goldust request how he retires? Triple H and Undertaker aren't the only ones who can make decisions you know. Tommy Dreamer requested how he left WWE. He's nowhere near the same level as Triple H or Undertaker. I think Goldust should have that match at WM, there is even a base for it already.
Anyways, onto the topic of who should be in Smackdown's Elimination Chamber, Daniel Bryan, Big Show and Mark Henry are pretty certain.
Daniel Bryan Big Show Mark Henry ? ? ?
Randy Orton and Wade Barrett are two possibilities, but I reckon they'll probably end up having a match against each other, rather than in the Elimination Chamber. But that really opens it up for others to rise up and prove themselves. I reckon Cody Rhodes should be entered in the Chamber because WWE could have a perfect set up for a match between Goldust and Cody by having Goldust interfere by entering the chamber whilst someone is leaving and attacking Cody.
Daniel Bryan Big Show Mark Henry Cody Rhodes ? ?
The next spot I believe could go to almost anyone on the roster, but I think its most likely to go to one of: Jinder Mahal, Ezekiel Jackson, Ted DiBiase, Hunico or a Raw superstar, most likely Mason Ryan or Santino Marella. Out of those however, I think Ted DiBiase would be in, but that would be only if he was still healthy. As a result, I reckon Jinder Mahal is the guy who will get that spot.
Daniel Bryan Big Show Mark Henry Cody Rhodes Jinder Mahal ?
Now for the final spot theres only two people I can think of who would be good additions. Christian and Sin Cara. this however is relying on one or both of them being fit. Whilst I think it would be better for Sin Cara to be in the match so Christian could rekindle his fued with Orton, its unlike Sin Cara will be able to return before Wrestlemania. So therefore, I give the final spot to Christian.
Daniel Bryan Big Show Mark Henry Cody Rhodes Jinder Mahal Christian
So there we have it, the six guys I think will be competing in the Smackdown Elimination Chamber.

| agreed with you! bowt the Goldust thing.
WWE aren't totally heartless and do generally allow there veterans to get a send off they like.
as for the chamber, Although I do expect Christian to be back by then. I do see Barrett and Orton being in it

| Sure he can request whatever he wants however if WWE wants him to have it at EC and only there and his ego will only accept WM then imo he should fuck himself and go back to Twitter..
Take what you get and be grateful that they gave you anything.
Not every veteran has had good sendoff matches..
Some have outright been fired so like I said he should take his EC match or none at all.
Plus I would rather Cody did something better than that match anyways.

| Silva, Goldust is a popular veteran, not only amongst fans (although obviously not you) but amongst people within WWE. Regardless of how you feel about him, he does deserve a decent send-off. The most likely reason why he does not want to face Cody at Elimination Chamber is because its the last PPV before Wrestlemania, and if he retires there it gets overshadowed by Wrestlemania and it won't be as memorable. Surely you can see why that is not an ideal scenario for one of wrestlings most memorable stars?
I get the feeling he wouldn't be so adamant it was at Wrestlemania if he was offered the chance to face him at Vengeance or TLC for example. Probably the main reason for wanting it to be at Wrestlemania is timing. Just like if it was in the summer he'd probably be asking for a match at Summerslam.
We're each allowed our own opinions, but it doesn't seem like I'm alone when I say Goldust does deserve a match against Cody at Wrestlemania. And being brothers, I get the feeling Cody won't object. WWE have been teasing a feud between those two for a couple of years, now seems like the perfect time to capitalise on the subtle build.

| I'm not changing my opinion of this..
Goldust can hope he gets WM but I'm going to be hoping against it.
He'll likely bitch enough to get his way and if so I'll have to just deal with that but I don't think WM needs that match to happen to be awesome.
If it happens it will probably not get that much time anyways and I just think Cody deserves more.

| I'm not asking you to change your opinion, I'm merely offering mine to create debate as I am a fan of Goldust, and you seem to be an anti-mark, as it were. Do you think it might be possible that Goldust has been granted the match at Wrestlemania and is attempting to garner interest for it by, as you put it, bitching? Cody is a very talented, and very young worker. Whilst he may deserve more, it is possible that a victory over his own brother at Wrestlemania might help cement his place. If done effectively, Cody could leave Wrestlemania as a massive heel, ready to make the step up to the Main Event. Having this match won't hurt Cody, he'll have created a Wrestlemania moment and he'll have the oppourtunity to create many more, much bigger moments int he future. You act almost as though this match would signal the end of the world, but in reality, its a respectful way to Goldust to call time on his career, whilst potentially acting as a launch pad for Cody's career. Brother vs Brother feuds have been a great way to launch someone to the Main Event. I'm going to use Edge and Christian as the example (I know they weren't brothers but they were billed as such). Once they called time on their team and entered into a feud it garnered interest. When Edge emerged victorious he was launched to the top of the card, and a few years later became the WWE Champion. Christian on the other hand ended up being forced to find his place on the mid-card, with his brief forays to the top of the card not resulting in a push. It's only in the past year that he has really caught up, and thats most likely down to Edge's retirement. With Cody vs Goldust, its potentially a win-win for both guys. Goldust losing won't hurt his career and he won't have to worry about being relegated down the card, as he would be leaving anyway. Cody could gain recognition for retiring him and receive that final push to the top (as many others have done before, Randy Orton with his Legend Killer gimmick and CM Punk in his feud with Jeff Hardy for example) which will only be beneficial for Cody. I see the match as a good thing. Thats my opinion, I don't expect you to agree with it, just like I don't agree with yours. But hey, couldn't have this debate if we agreed. And I'd just like to note that this is a topic about Smackdown's Elimination Chamber match, and we've ended up talking about Goldust in here when there is already a topic for that last I checked. Would and admin/mod please move the Goldust posts to the appropriate topic | |

| Daniel Bryan's opponents for the SmackDown Elimination Chamber at next month's pay-per-view in Milwaukee will be Wade Barrett, Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes, Big Show, Mark Henry and Randy Orton.

I guess Goldust is closer to getting his wish..
The SD chamber match should be good even though I don't like Henry or Show.

I guess he didn't..
Spoilers:
- Spoiler:
From SD this Friday [from lordsofpain]:
* Mark Henry came out and isn't happy about getting his shot in the Chamber. Henry wants his World Title shot tonight. Teddy removes Henry from the Chamber match and ends up suspending him indefinitely. Henry gets pissed off but Sheamus lays him out with a Brogue Kick.
So who to take his spot?
I'm really hoping it is Christian!
