PunchDrunkCritics.com is reporting that WWE star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will star in Michael Bay's new film "Pain and Gain."
The film centers around The Rock as the leader of a Florida-based bodybuilding group who plans to kidnap and murder a wealthy businessman, only to botch the job in Fargo-like fashion.
The article notes that The Rock beat out Mark Whalberg for the lead role, and also notes that Ed Harris is being considered for the role of the P.I. hired by the businessman.

In related news, USA Today is reporting that The Rock is now featured as a G.I. Joe action figure, which can be viewed if you click on the above link. The Rock plays the role of Roadblock in the upcoming "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" sequel.
