Wow.. I don't understand how I pulled this amazing grade out of my pocket yet I am incredibly happy!

I'm talking about this 2 page [single space so basically 3.5/4 pages] essay I wrote for my Social Problems class. We are allowed to choose 3 of the 8 topics to write about and the first assignment was due Thursday night at midnight and I decided to do my first essay on the Oscar winning film Crash. I've seen the film at least 3 times so I felt good enough to write the essay on it.

The problem was when I started typing it I was just blank.. It didn't help that like usual I procrastinated the shit out of it so I had like 4 hours til the deadline to type it without getting a late penalty.. I took so damn long and got sidetracked that I didn't end up finishing it til 4 am Friday morning because after it was past midnight I figured why stress too much I was already getting docked a little for being late. So while it was finished at 4 am I was not expecting a good grade at all from it. I mean I thought it was pretty bad and I would have been grateful for a 'C' yet I just checked my D2L to see my grade and wow I guess Jesus was watching over me because I got a 49.5/50 which is 99%! I don't know what the hell happened [I guess he didn't count me as late and loved my paper] but I am so happy and shocked! It seems that I have a habit of getting a great to amazing grade on essays/tests with a short amount of time/studying. I guess I like pressure or something?..

So yeah I wanted to make this thread to see if anyone else ever has this sort of stuff happen to them.

Have you ever thought your essay was crap yet you got a great grade or that you bombed a test yet you did really well?

I had spent last year averaging 20-30% on my maths homework, then one day out of the blue I got 100% in some homework. That was quite a shock.

That is awesome dude.

Math has always been my worst subject so anytime I get a B or higher on tests I am a little shocked but happy.

Last semester I got a 93% on my first statistics exam and I was like WTF..

My scores came back down to Earth soon afterward however that great score helped.

basically all my good assignments in uni lol.

i remember cramming a law assignment to the night before and got 30/40 lol was so surprised, especially since i didnt attend lectures/read the text

I graduated with a 7 for spanish....knowing my spansish that's a lot.

I also scored a 9.6 out 10 in my math exam. One STUPID mistake....that could have been avoided...bastards

Spanish is hard but damn Kevin you did very well in math!

Nope, Just a person that wants to excel in life. Didn't know you had to be Asian for that.

this has happened to me many times. I'm a master procrastinator. yet i always seem to get my best grades on papers i write on a whim the night before it's due. i guess it's cause my brained is in overdrive...making it easier to focus...less chance of being distracted cause i know the pressure is on to have this ready for the next day.
