Nervous Anxiety!

So, my classes begin next Monday and the wait is making me nervous. Been waiting for a few months now. I typically react better if I have less time to think about whatever I'm getting ready to do.

How good are you when it comes to waiting and anxiousness (for whatever)?

I tell myself that, "I'm the shit and them other nigs just poop stains". That usually gets me through it.

I wouldn't say I get nervous when waiting for something. Although I can probably attribute that to 12 years of acting.

Just be yourself man. Be nice, friendly if you like.....make friends. But just be yourself. I get super nervous but it works out.

my heart pounds really fast when i'm nervous. but for the most part i can handle almost anything.

My anxiety is already bad, but it usually gets worse the night before or on the day. Just try not to think about it so much and focus your mind on something else. It really won't be as bad as you think either

It's the academic part that's making me a bit nervous.

Just be yourself NCD, their is different moments to introduce a different side of yourself.

When in a professional setting be calm, socialize but the easy going quiet side of yourself.

While when making new friends...make an impression...i know it's hard but be as social and fun as you can be.

I always find first impressions as a very important part, what they see in you the first time will how they will judge you from then on.

I always make an ass out of myself. In my school we're from all over the country/world so we usually have to say where we're from and I'm like "Uh...well...here..."

Yeah, thats the only thing I dread about the first day. Luckily, my teachers this semester didn't have introductions. I don't understand why we have to do it anyway, I'm there to do my work, not meet other people. That's just how I see it, lol

The first semester will be the mandatory ENG, Math, Critical Thinking courses.

They make you do all of those courses before you move onto the electives.

So how did your first day go? Did U have any threesomes?

Nothing negative to say except I have a shitload of reading to do and some work due later today and tomorrow.

The Professors are cool, esp my English Professor. Dude is a comedian.

Only a tad bit during intros. I hate when all eyes are on me.

They're textbooks in an Ebook form. So we're able to download the text on mobile gadgets and/or pc/laptop.

Luckily, no extra money spent on them, it's a part of tuition costs.

Oh I love doing intros because I get to talk about my favorite subject........ME!

I hate introducing myself too, but by the sounds of it, you guys have it easy :P

In one of my classes, the teacher actually makes you have a 5 min conversation with the person next to you, who you've never met before. You then have to introduce them to the class based on what you got from the convo lol.

Although its awkward, its an ice breaker. its easier to turn to someone after the teacher tells you too and say " hi my names..." rather than just an abrupt/random introduction. And the funy thing, I got talking to the people and actually am excited about talking with them again next week to hopefully form a friendship with them.

Group work is another thing, as it involves you with people and you just start talking.

I hate group work. i prefer to work alone.

i like group work because you share the work together equally and you can share ideas.

I always get the idiots who dont want to do anything or they do it wrong and i'm stuck redoing it.

i prefer to just do it myself. typically when i'm ina group i just tell everyone to let me handle it cause none of them cba to contribute anyway

Damn, all those things sounds like such fun things to do.

Why would it be nerve wrecking?? Just ask some basic questions and say it infront of class.

I do this for my public speaking classes. It's a great icebreaker. I usually don't do people next to each other though, since they might be friends. I make them go across the room.
