The Hunger Games

Anyone gonna go see this movie?.I heard its gonna be a good movie.

It looks okay, but not something I'm dying to see.

I've heard the book is really good.

The books are really good. I read them over a weekend when I was out of town. I was attracted to the unique concept and the books delivered. Some of them are better than others, but overall I enjoyed the series, and am looking forward to the movie.

Also, Jennifer Lawrence is easy on the eyes.

It was a good movie, strange, but good.

What's it about?

Without giving away too much, a future in which the governing body forces a lottery selected group of minors to kill each other off annually as a televised mega-event.

Damn that sounds like fun, I wish I could kill a couple of people for sport.

Sounds like The Condemned, only by the governement instead of a producer, and with random people rather than convicts.

Just got home. I enjoyed it. I'm not saying it was the greatest movie of all time, but it was enjoyable. I don't know if reading the book before helps or hurts though.

Its so sad seeing this 10 year old girl having to fight aginst like 20 yr old men lol

There's one 12 year old, but she doesn't really physically fight with the big boys.

Not technically, but pitting her in a survival kind of thing with them is just so surreal.

Yeah, it definitely got an 'emotional response' in the theater I was in. I heard a lot of sniffles, lol.

The people in my cinema clapped at the end it was so awkward lol who does that
