| Layla has been using some Lucha-style moves in her moveset now.
What do you think about her using Lucha-style moves?
Do you like her using them?
Does she perform them well and/or correct?
etc....
Discuss
My opinion:
I personally think it's cool to see a WWE Diva do some Lucha-style moves especially a Diva like Layla who you wouldn't expect to do those types of moves. She performs them okay her execution could be better, but it's not bad to me she's NOT a Mexican wrestler, the greatest wrestler or even a high-flyer; so I don't expect them to be done crisp.

| Her stupid roll-up is just that... stupid. That's the only move she does that I just can't stand. It's flashy and nobody would ever win a match using that no matter what.
For the rest of her moveset, I don't mind it. She's definitely gotten better with time.

| i think she does them very well. obviously she can't rely on personality as much as she could when she was heel so she's made herself fast and exciting in the ring. she's definitely closer to Gail Kim as opposed to a Kelly Kelly in terms of high flyers
and what's wrong with moves being flashy? they're *supposed* to wow the crowd

| I like the innovative style of the armdrag pin reversal...my only issue is that the opponents shoulder is always up before the ref can even start counting.
as for the rest, I have seen her do like two luchaish moves that springboard crossbody being the only one I can completely remember......I think we are gonna have to wait until the WWE decide to give her some longer matches before we can truly start analysing her moveset.

| ...what Lucha style moves? You didnt even explain what they are, you just kept referring to them as...lucha.
Also, LL...a springboard crossbody isnt really a lucha libre move. Lucha moves are usually fast paced or highflying, to wow the crowd.

| Well yeah I guess it couldn't be considered fully Lucha, there is an aspect of fast paced/wow factor to the move though.....well it would be a wow factor if it was a man, since the fans don't care for the divas. | |

| LOL @ Hailey's first post.
I'll admit that I was impressed with Layla in her match with Natalya. But, I don't remember a lot of lucha.

| Lucha moves are more about flash and acrobatics, often with very little bumping to them since the rings in Mexico are a lot harder so traditional bumping is almost impossible. Layla seems to have taken notes on how little time the Divas have been getting since she left and adopted a style that packs a lot into a little amount of time | |

| Ok, so i just saw that rollup from Layla...that is NOT a lucha libre move, not in the slightest. Its not even flashy, nor is it flippy. | |

| I don't see anything lucha about Layla's moveset or any of the divas for that matter. I think people forget what lucha is these days.
Until divas start doing stunts like Rey mysterio, Eddie/Chavo Guerrero, Psychosis, Juventud, etc there is no lucha. Lita was the only diva in the WWE who came close to being lucha and I would refer to her more as a high flyer.
I wouldn't even say Layla is a high flyer. Otherwise the likes of Candice, Kelly, etc would fall into that category since they've all done turnbuckle crossbodies.
Layla is just developing unique moves which suit her speed and size.
