TNA Announces First Possible Opponent For Devon's TV Championship

Last week, Wrestlezone Reported that TNA would feature opponents to be announced each day leading up until the Live Impact on Thursday opponents who fans could vote for to challenge Devon. Devon, currently the Television Champion, would have to face one of the opponents that were announced and voted on by the fans.

The first possible opponent is announced, as Rob Van Dam has been chosen as one of the four to vote for. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will reveal one contender each day leading up to the Live broadcast Thursday night at 8pm.

Would you want to see RVD as TV champ?

RVD deserves better, but I guess it's just a belt that he hasn't gotten his hands on yet.

True it is their worst singles belt but maybe a bigger name winning it and having a reign will help its prestige.

And having this belt means you are always going to have a match which is pretty cool if you love to wrestle and or have not been used much.

TV title? How long has this title existed? I haven't watched (and payed attention to) iMPACT! in months.

It used to be the Legends title which I think was around in 2009-2010 but I think it officially became the TV Title a year or so ago.

The Legends Championship, Booker's title became the Global Championship, due to World Elite, I believe, and Ric Flair turned it into the Television Championship.

Thanks, I completely forgot. All the damn name changes can be confusing. (Look who's talking? My name is NCD for a reason, but I digress.)

Oh well I think it's current name is the best although the current design [which has never changed] still says 'TNA Legends Championship'...

-- The TNA website has announced that Mr. Anderson is the second potential opponent to challenge Devon for the Television title on Thursday's live Impact Wrestling show. Rob Van Dam was named on Monday. TNA will reveal two more potential challengers (one Wednesday, one Thursday) and then fans will be able to vote on Thursday who will face Devon that night for the title.

So out of RVD and Mr. Anderson who would you choose to face Devon?

Who was the last guy who emerged as a star in TNA? Their roster has remained the same for years.

They're as bad as WWE was from 2006 to 2010.

WWE: Edge, Orton, Mysterio, HHH, Batista, HBK, Jericho, Big Show, Kane.

TNA: AJ, Joe, Angle, Jarrett, Hardy, Anderson, Hogan, Bischoff, Abyss.

IDK about the rest of you, but AJ Styles vs Daniels (for the millionth time) doesn't excite me. Neither does Anderson vs Hardy or Angle.

I feel like Styles vs. Daniels will always be good, but that's just me.

The match itself is usually good. What I mean, though, is when you've seen something a million times before it doesn't have the same effect on you as it would have had your first few times seeing it. There's only a few effective way to promote a match with two guys. After a while, it's like okay, I get it already.

TNA needs new stars and new feuds.

I thought it was like 3 months which imo is pretty good for a title reign when Impact and WWE can easily hot potato a belt at times..
