MTV Movie Awards 2012: Complete List of Winners

The MTV Movie Awards were this past Sunday so I wanted to post the winners and see if anyone watched the show.

For the first time, nominees were decided by industry experts. Winners were still decided by popular vote with the exception of Breakthrough Performance. The 21st annual edition of these kudos took place on June 3 at Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles.

The best part of the entire ceremony was the montage for / the performance by Johnny Depp, and The Dark Knight Rises clips.

Twilight won waaaay too much. We waited 8 fucking movies for Ron and Hermione to kiss. Like, come on. This was the last year for HP to be nominated for anything. Let Twilight win all of the awards when it's on its way out.

Jennifer Lawrence's acceptance speech was adorable.

Yeah I was really expecting THG to win Best Film considering it is the new it movie atm.

Twilight Breaking Dawn Pt 1 was a piece of shit so I guess it's rabid fans did their jobs well..

I agree with you that it would have been nice to see HP win Best Kiss however Bella/Edward winning again is no shock. I mean that kiss was their wedding kiss you think their fans would not get it to win? Some [crazy] people were crying when they saw the wedding trailer. I know they must have spammed the shit out of the voting.

At least HP won best cast. That is a great award to win imo.

Does anyone else find it weird that a movie that had won both "Best Actor" and "Best Actress" lost in the "Best Movie" category?

^ Yeah that is a little weird although it has happened at the Academy Awards so I guess it can happen at this far inferior award show..

*The white films were films that won both Best Actor and Best Actress however ended up losing Best Picture to another film.

So as you see winning both top acting prizes actually does not mean the film will automatically win. :-/

I just don't understand it.

Well, I understand the amount of "fan boys and girls" and middle-aged women who love Twilight.. just as much as I heard how great of a movie The Hunger Games were, it just shocks me.

While I believe it's not right, I didn't vote so I have no real say.

I can understand a channel dedicated to movies having an awards ceremony...but MTV should just have their music awards and sit the hell down.

People still watch MTV?

21 Jump Street should've won something. One of the funniest movies of all time.

It's only gonna get worst next year because another twilight is coming out.
