TNA has announced full details on this year's Bound for Glory Series, which begins Thursday on Impact with a 12-man gauntlet match.

-- The point system remains the same: 10 points for Submission victory, 7 points for Pinfall victory, 5 points for Count-out victory, 3 points for DQ victory, 2 points for a Draw, and a loss of 10 points for a DQ loss.

-- The Series will end on the September 6 Impact episode. The top points leaders will advance to the No Surrender PPV on September 9 to determine who will challenge for the TNA World Title at the Bound for Glory PPV in October.

-- The biggest problem addressed from last year is each participant will wrestle the same number of matches by facing each other only once. Therefore, each wrestler will compete in 11 matches total.

-- Official Standings from TV, PPV, and house shows will be tracked at ImpactWrestling.com/BFGSeries .

Caldwell's Analysis: Excellent change to the format after last year's debacle when some wrestlers were in 14 BFG Series matches and others were in six or seven, making it unbalanced. Also, TNA establishing a beginning and end allows their audience to follow along and invest in the build-up to BFG.

not sure on who i want to win yet, but I do like the change to it.

I've read some people's posts elsewhere and the two names that were mainly brought up were James Storm and Austin Aries.

I would rather Aries win and win at BFG however storyline wise it makes more sense for Storm to win and win at BFG against Roode who by then would be champ for nearly 1 year.

TNA launched this year's Bound for Glory Series Thursday night on Impact with James Storm collecting 20 points by winning a battle royal.

The 12-man roster is James Storm, Jeff Hardy, A.J. Styles, Rob Van Dam, Magnus, Bully Ray, Kurt Angle, "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero, Robbie E., Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, and Mr. Anderson, who was added to the BFG Series after losing a TNA World Title match to Bobby Roode in the Impact main event.

According to TNA's announcement earlier this week, the 12 participants will face each other once. The top points-leaders will then advance to No Surrender in September to determine who faces the TNA World Hvt. champion at Bound for Glory in October.

At this weekend's Basebrawl house show in Memphis, James Storm can leapfrog back into first place if he picks up points against Magnus, who is tied with RVD in the Standings.

After Samoa Joe (47 points) and James Storm (43 points), the leaderboard follows with 28 points for Jeff Hardy, 27 points for Kurt Angle, 23 points for Mr. Anderson, 21 points for RVD, and 19 points for Daniels, who picked up a singles victory on this week's international Xplosion show.

Two more BFG Series matches are scheduled for Saturday in Brooklyn. Included is Jeff Hardy vs. A.J. Styles, who needs points to move out of the bottom-third of the standings. Also, Mr. Anderson vs. Robbie.

The cool thing now is that Storm has maxed out all his matches, and there's a possibility of the others passing him up.

The Bound for Glory Series Standings were shaken up with Rob Van Dam, A.J. Styles, and Bully Ray collecting 20 points each for their victories at the Hardcore Justice PPV on Sunday.

RVD moved into second place behind James Storm, Ray moved into a tie for fourth place, and Styles moved from the bottom-third to seventh place. Styles still has five individual matches remaining in the BFG Series to pick up additional points and move closer to the Top 4 cut-off line.

Bully Ray is now in the Top 4 following a pinfall victory over A.J. Styles, who slipped out of the Top 4. Kurt Angle, who has one match remaining, has slipped to sixth behind Styles, who also has one match remaining.
